I read, the other day, that Barmby said we had now played all of the teams and we had sussed them - I think that was before we came away from 3 games with the grand sum of **** all! Increasingly we can read posts that say it is the Tigers who have been sussed - is that the case? A new GK is needed and Harper is an excellent shout - seen him many times and he is a safe pair of hands and will take no **** from his back four. Getting on a bit, but a sound move to build on. Gulacsi would prosper alongside this guy - he is always known as the bridesmaid, but he works well with others and is selfless in his advice and assistance. But this is my question: We have done fairly well (sic) working the young-uns in a 4-5-1 that creates all manner of opportunity and entertaining football - except the end result; it's like leaving 'Someone Like You' from an Adele concert! Is it time for a re-working of the mindset and try using a 4-4-2 to split defences and create more of a rush-of-blood that may force goals? Do we need to force Fryatt forward, is he dropping back too much - if so, why? What could be done with the existing players to achieve this and who are the square-pegs who may not fit, but be excellent bench-cover to offer us an alternate 4-5-1? Is this lack of flexibility our biggest hindrance, or is it literally just a lack of goalscoring finish; regardless of the tactics? No games for a while, but a sour taste of seasonal disappointment; all thoughts relevant, even the Trolls can have their fair share of grunt!
