Most clubs could do with an Administrator of Directors.

Cloughie would have volunteered for that....and told the lot of 'em to f*** off.

Not in this instance. With Daniel Levy spending much of his time abroad, it makes sense to have a football man overseeing the football admin matters. Darren Eales is well respected within the game and came to us from WBA with an excellent reputation.

To return to the main topic, £100k fine does seem bloody excessive !!

Of course £100k is excessive, but thats the Premier League. They look at it in the sense that if you can afford to pay a player that, then you can afford the fine.

Also, I get Levy wants/needs help but most organisations have an Ops Director or an Executive Assistant. The role you described was performed by a Club Secretary. I have no reason to doubt Mr Eales ability in his role, but I still stand by my original comment, only football ...

why else would the players still be in the dressing room apart from AVB? surely he tells them when to go out etc? if not, why not!!! it would certianly be a sign that he wasn't 100% in control..

The papers would be printing that if he was still at Chelsea and probably blaming Cole, Lampard, JT, Cech and Drogba as they always do. Much ado about nothing really.

Surely someone tells them when the 2nd half is due to start and makes sure they leave the dressing room on time.
    If not SF then who?

For it to keep happening, seems to me the organisation is a bit Keystone Cops!....that appearance has crept onto the pitch in the odd game!

Thing is this note was found in the effin Sunderland dressing room by Sunderland FC staff after Spurs had left the building! <yikes>

Wtf is an issue like this being addressed in an away teams dressing room for?? Should it not have been dealt with at Spurs before they left, or on the coach at least. That document should never be on the premises of another PL team.

Also who the hell checked the changing room before leaving??

I think this is a serious breach of private club info myself.

its a tactic of AVB - keeping the opposition waiting for them on the pitch whilst they are in the dressing room for another minute or so. almost certainly.

holding up a game delays 1000s of people's schedules. There are a fair few people Working on match day, maybe TV fkers penalise UEFA ect for late starts disrupting TV schedules. Policing also.

    The fine is justified.

Fines for lateness are perfectly acceptable and understandable, but it seems that we've had to pay out a similar amount per incident to Lazio's racism fine (£25k to £32k).
Sends out the wrong message, in my opinion.

That's assuming that this is real, of course.

  18. My thoughts exactly..... (Assuming that it is genuine) the level of fine compared to those currently being issued for racism etc is completely disproportionate.
But there again, if you look at criminal law penalties then a similar situation exists: a recidivist house burglar will routinely get a minor sentence of a fine or imprisonment, yet a white collar city fraudster or similar will routinely get 5 years + for a first offence. I doubt the are too many members of the general public who believe they need more protection from the Fraudster than the burglar, but that's not how the System views it.

This makes me wonder how authentic it is. 16th December at the top and found in the Mackem's dressing room nearly two weeks later? Not convinced.

Nah he has the defenders out on the pitch early doing star jumps and forward roll drills :p

Which is also disturbingly similar to emails you'll get at work.

£100k though? I think we should dock Bentley's wages until we get the money back.
