You haven't mentioned Cala - though I suppose "steadier" and "Cala" don't necessarily sit well in the same sentence.
I must say though, I've always liked Cala and am glad he's stayed. He provides a different approach to the others you mention, and reckon he could do a great job as a sweeper in a back 5 setup.
He can also break forward with pace and take the opposition by surprise. With two left behind him centrally, he wouldn't leave us so exposed with his rushes of blood. If we did play three at the back though, our reduced midfield would have to find another couple of gears to cover the ground - something we don't seem to possess right now.
