Strange thing is 4 weeks ago posters were saying we have too many mid-fielders and were desperate for a CB.

How quickly this is forgotten.
 
I think Ole wants to play a higher back line and can't do that with Hudson, possibly Turner either, due to their lack of pace. Morrison looks quick across the ground and if Manga is also then we play higher up the field and press in midfield (Whitts excluded, <doh>) so hopefully we will the ball earlier and get it forward more quickly. ALF is never going to score with our pedestrian advances at present.

Slightly concerning
 
You haven't mentioned Cala - though I suppose "steadier" and "Cala" don't necessarily sit well in the same sentence.

I must say though, I've always liked Cala and am glad he's stayed. He provides a different approach to the others you mention, and reckon he could do a great job as a sweeper in a back 5 setup.

He can also break forward with pace and take the opposition by surprise. With two left behind him centrally, he wouldn't leave us so exposed with his rushes of blood. If we did play three at the back though, our reduced midfield would have to find another couple of gears to cover the ground - something we don't seem to possess right now.

We do have too many midfielders. Problem is most of them are not good enough.
 
also surprised kim kyung didnt move on, whether it was a loan deal or permanent. can't see him getting too many games&#8230;&#8230;.
 
Re: Kimbo...from his own point of view I'm surprised he hasn't moved on....however I'm glad he's still here.....we know how good he can be at this level.....one or two injuries to midfield and he's back in the mix...given a chance I'm sure he's capable of holding his own in starting kine-up
