Blyth. I just noticed the 'group' function on here so I've set up one for us Northumbrians. <ok>

There's not enough interest on here for Northumbrian football and the non-league section doesn't get get the views so it made sense just to make a group...

Northumbria is the kingdom that covered most of the North, Northumberland is the county :emoticon-0105-wink: I class myself as from Northumberland rather than Tyne and Wear, since Newcastle was traditionally in Northumberland.

Originally from Ponteland before I left the North East to become a missionary for all things Geordie in The East Midlands.

Still come back up to Beadnell occasionally for a holiday to remind myself of the good things in life.

My cousin has a caravan at Beadnell, not quite the ordinary caravan, more like a mobile home. Used to like it up there when I was a kid but haven't been for ages.

My sister in law has a similar type of thing Agent Bruce, it sleeps 8 people.

I fell in love with place when I was a kid and have continued to go back at least once a year for a little break.

A walk from Beadnell along to Newton, a few ales in the Ship Inn and toddle back for a few more in the Craster Alms....Ahhhhhh.

Remember visiting some people at Newton when I was a kid, they lived in a whitewashed stone building. No idea who they were, possible distant relatives. Always remember thinking it looked odd.

Same, Tyne and Wear isn't a real county anyway.
