Torres wasn't a flop. He was great for Liverpool... And continued being great for Liverpool when he joined Chelsea.

 

Debateable. In the C.L he assisted our crucial away goal in Benfica, scored THAT goal in Barca and won the late corner Drogba would score the equaliser from in the final. Pretty key contributions in key moments and matches.

In the Europa the following year he scored lots of goals including in the final.

50 million contributions? Probably not but lets make out he did nothing for 3 years.

Certainly more of a contribution than say Di Maria or 35 million Andy Carroll for Liverpool.
