Another thread alive and kicking well into the second 1000 posts. Better Part II so that mobile phone users dn't find it too unwieldy. Last comment from the previous edition:
My feeling is that despite the result Saturday both Fulham and Cardiff have gone.Anyone currently on 30 or more will make it ok.I think much depends on Sunderland and WBA.If either fails to put together something that returns substantially more than a point a game then it may be them.Bear in mind The Baggies have only won four games this season. They will need another three plus a couple of draws at least.
I'd say Norwich need 2 wins from there next 4 games or they are in serious trouble. With so many games coming up between that mini-league at the bottom, any team stringing together a couple wins in the next four will have a good shot at safety. Hughton has to have a go, though...with their run in, they aren't going to draw their way to survival against the likes of Sunderland and West Brom.
I don't feel Norwich are a dead cert. Cardiff and Fulham yes, then one of Norwich, Swansea, west from and palace. Still many games to go.
Swansea are definitely getting an honourable mention now as well - Today's truly staggering stat - Swansea have only won 4 of their last 20 home games. I don't care who you are, with that home form you are bang in trouble, to make matters worse they have a work experience manager. Scary.
Really surprised how awful Norwich were. Lacked any passion, urgency, and really effort until last 2 mins when we gifted them those to goals. They have a terrible set of fixtures in the last 4 games, but they have an opportunity before then to move themselves far enough away to avoid relegation.
First minute summed it up, when Clyne ran past their LB who just wathced the ball roll away from him, Clyne got there and got a corner (I thought it should've been a free kick) - from there you could see who was going to win the match imo.
Any team where Snotgrass is their star player is going to struggle. Have to say I think Norwich are looking bad now. They looked really poor today and if we hadn't gifted them those 2 goals I think we may have scored a couple at the end instead of the 1. They must be about level with Fulham as the worst sides to visit St Marys this season.
Yes agree they were very poor. If Jrod had made it 4 when he hit the bar think they would have totally folded. Needs to change quick if they want to survive. Looked like some of them didnt yesterday.
I remember in the NPC thinking "ooh maybe we should sign him?". Feel quite silly now. I felt sure they were ging to do better when I saw they'd signs wolfswinkel and hooper, they look like poor choices now.
