I am hoping for a wonderful season in the next campaign, and expect great things. Why?Because we have a top-quality Manager who knows what he wants to do,and knows how to achieve it.I have just watched the review of last season on the club's web-site,and I am sure that we will not be in a relegation dog-fight next season. Why am I so confident??Because we have Gus in charge!!He knows that we should sign-on our on-loan players such as Alonso,Vergini and Borini and we will be heading in the right direction. With a top-quality mid-fielder added to our squad,we will be a threat to all next season.I believe in Gus,and I am looking forward to next season...who else feels the same??

I can't wait. I'm not as expectant though, we still need a lot of new faces and only time gels a team, we need to remember Gus is nowhere near having what you'd call his own team, I expect progress yes, safety yes but prepared to be in a relegation fight. If we don't fly out of the blocks it would be nice to be patient as there were people writing as off as early as WBA five games in last season

I'm very pleased that Poyet is our manager, he has a clear vision which has been sorely lacking.

What was MON's vision for Sunderland when he bought Graham ffs <doh>

Bruce bought players, tried to shoehorn them into the side and played them out of position if that failed.

The plodders like Gardner & Bardsley are being moved out and the good ones like Mannone are happy to sign.

It seems people like to play for Mr Poyet.

Looking forward to it immensely but expecting the season after to be better when Gus has a more settled team.

Champions league minimum target in two year, premiership title in three and world football domination to ensue within five years or sack Gus.:emoticon-0110-tongu

I will be pleased if we are near mid table by Xmas. An unsettled squad, plus another rotten sequence of fixtures, are my reasons for caution. But with some prudent recruiting, and Gus in charge, I think we will improve on last season, mid-table and a cup run will do nicely.

As much as I wanted the last season to be over, life without football just plain sucks. Is it just me? I am looking forward to this season, but am still apprehensive after the last close season when we all thought PDC would do us some good... but there is something about Gus that's alot more settling. And we seem to be going for a better type of player. After watching the WC and Colombia, i love the look of that James Rodriguez... till i saw hes at Monaco after they bought him for 45mill Euro haha

I am but I fully expect us to be jostling between 12-20.

We need a left back centre back and a couple of attackers to set us up for a decent season.

Not yet but getting there. Still cautious.

Short hasn`t opened his purse yet. When we start (with Borini perhaps) then I`ll start thinking we mean business.

There is method in this SAFC madness, this time last year we'd signed a ****load of unknown, unproven players.. It's different this time around and I don't mind Ellis and Gus taking their time.. Good things come to those who wait and we had to wait until the last 7 games in the season to see some quality results. Really really looking forward to the west brom game!

I believe that we have a proper plan in place for next season and beyond...Gus and Mr Short know what they want to do and they know how to achieve it!

Cannot see any reason why we couldn't finish eight looking at that.

Until we have a team neither optimistic or pessimistic, how can we be, we were in a dog fight most the season, survived arguably with loan players, signed non of them to date. We have moved some deadwood out, hardly signings of intent yet and thus it's looking into the void????

So for the question am I looking forward to it yet, not yet, thank heavens the world cups on because like most others missing the domestic footy
