Simple really, who do you wish we never sold? As a younger lfc fan (18) the ones which spring to my mind are xabi alonso, yossi benayoun, alvaro arbeloa, luis garcia and some of you may disagree but mohammed sissoko (sp?) as he was my favourite player behind the main stream ones:grin:

Alonso,Mascherano are the obvious ones but I really used to like little Luis Garcia.A scorer of important goals.Where is he now?Arbeloa ,I thought ,was a good player but he didn't stay long so can only think he probably wanted to go and Sami Hypia who I would have liked to stay at the club in some capacity but maybe he may yet return.Top Man.

Players come and players go that's part of the game. We will never really know if they walked or they jumped or were pushed. If we look at our recent departure history then the only player that I miss is Alonso. However, if he were still here then we wouldn't have Lucas and Adam and it's those players who are now going to write our history.

So enjoy them whilst they're here.

My two are Florent Sinama Pongolle and Luis Garcia.
Maybe just maybe we should have been more patient with Alou Diarra, he's turned into a fine player. Or maybe we should have given more time to Djbrill Cisse. Rafa had some list of strikers throughout his Liverpool reign and when he left all we had was FT and Ngog, he didn't get the balance right.

Mascherano. Although he left due to a lack of investment from the previous owners.

Forgot about Garcia though <ok> endlessly frustrating but on his good days he was an absolute gem of a player

Arbeloa went for £3m and got us two goals in three years. Johnson outscored him first season when he was injured. AA was an okay defender and that's about it.

I'm going to say the good Torres. Him in blue still looks odd.

I'm one of the younger Liverpool fans so I would probably say Alonso. Still don't why we would get rid of him to try and get Barry!

Fowler when he went to Leeds was heartbrreaking. Also I wish Owen never went although he has gone masively downhill since he left us he was a hero of mine!

A couple of obvious ones in Alonso & Biscan of course.

A less likely one is Smicer, scored the wonder strike in the 2005 final then was shipped out. He should never be forgotten!

I never understood why we never made the Anelka deal permanent. Alonso was just plain stupid business. Rush, McMahon. (top of my head) Oh and Sami

I was gutted after Mucca left, equally gutted when Xabi left. I understood the departures of Riise and Sammi because they left on a high as Anfield legends.

This time last year I would have desperately wanted former players back in but now I am delighted with our current set up. <ok>

I had such high hopes for Cisse, but has any player ever had so many offsides for Liverpool despite his pace.
For me though, that Owen deal was stupid and who was that Mr Bean lookalike we got in return? Hate to say it, but Torres also, him with Suarez would have been nice!
