    Even the most rabid optimist must surely know that England have as much chance of winning the World Cup as Portsmouth have of becoming the South Coast's top team.
    So, I'd like to know which country people are nailing their colours to now to win it. Personally I would like to see a new name on the cup with someone who hasn't won it before. I've always liked watching Holland play but this time I would like to see a real underdog win it, that's why i'm rooting for the excellent Chile side.

    Chile. There's a good chance they'll have to go past Brazil in the next round, but the way the two are playing right now, Chile should win it.

    Also Jara and Beausejour being world champions would be ****ing hysterical.

    What, a 100% chance? I admire your optimism, but I don't think an England world cup win is quite that likely
