Following on from thurnby's thread and a set of interesting results yesterday, who do you want to go up from the championship this year? For me it has to be Southampton - relegated with us twice and it would be great to see them 'do a Norwich.' Reading - as I don't really want others around to go up, with the possible exception of Blackpool. Brighton - again don't really like the others and 'doing a Norwich.'
Southampton - They came down with us and lets face it, it was through no fault of their own, just some very dodgy owners who tried to exploit loopholes Reading - decent club who play decent football As for the third, as long as its not West Ham so we don't have to listen to the media having a mass orgasm over them being 'back where they belong' every week I really don't mind who comes up
saints and reading as they are local to me, and brighton saints though i think would do well next season IMO i hope there is one weakish team coming up......
Selfishly, teams who will struggle in order to make next season easier for us. However, I don't think Southampton will struggle - I imagine their first season back will be similar to ours and Swansea's. I hope not West Ham, because their fans seem to think they have a divine right to the Premiership, and also I think Big Sam needs taking down a peg or two. Blackpool were unlucky to go down last season and it would be nice to see them back again.
definitely not hammers, dislike them as much as sheff utd fans do. saints, reading and blackpool will do nicely for me, not that i live anywhere near any of them.
Agree about west ham dazz and vietnam. Although they didn't do it with Newcastle, they're bound to do it with west ham.
I would like to see Soton Reading Brighton I will say, ive seen southampton 3 times this season and havent seen anything that concerns me. Yesterday they were woeful, they say it reminded them of us last season when we lost 3- to swansea but atleast we played pretty well They obviousley are where they are on merit and plus they have £30mil wizzkid in midfield called adam banana
Southampton - Just over the water from me. Work with a lot of Saints fans. Good bunch of lads. Reading - Play good football. Brighton or Blackpool - As already mentioned once or twice. Anyone to stop West Ham coming up.
Hate West Ham but we could do with the 6 points. Southampton - Mates go uni there, easy trip, can do a massive night out and won't have to pay for accommodation as I can crash there. Please God don't let it be a Christmas Fixture Reading - Down South, easy away trip. Hugely regretted not going during their last stint in the PL. Also feel bad for them as they lost playoff final. Birmingham - Easy away trip plus it would mean the Brum Derby is back and that's huge where I live. Definitely go to that.
Southampton Reading Blackpool to beat birmingham in the play off final if that can be organised? I still get a bit gutted about losing to them on penalties + blackpool were great entertainment last time round
Southampton - They remind me of ourselves. Reading - I followed them for a while when I lived near there in the 80s. Always had a soft spot for them. Not really bothered as long as its not West Ham for reasons already mentioned, or Blackpool. Holloway seems to play more on the 'country yokel/village idiot' too much now for my liking. Couldn't stand to hear him anymore in his interviews.
Too much Reading love going on here, does anyone remember last season at Carrow Road Ian Harte? Even though we're in a good place and if it didn't happen we'd probably be a crap championship team but Shane Longs goals for Reading put us in the third tier. For me I want Southampton to go up always quite liked them, love it when they embarrass Man Utd, more importantly I hate what the FA done to them and if they go up it'll be a massive '**** off' right in the FA's face. Blackpool are another they have a lot of character an unfashionable club from a difficult part of the UK they play good football too.
I thought that was because we were plain sh1t. Besides, it seems that Long will always score against us, whoever he plays for.
