Seeing as were only going to hear about who we are selling this summer for the next 3 months I thought we could discuss who we would like to add.

    For me realistically

    Moses
    Debuchy
    Pieters
    Wanayama
    Elia
    Douglas

I know it won't occur but we would have some squad if we don't sell anyone.

I agree with your list, perhaps add De Jong if we lose Ba

Elia fits the bill for your lefty.

He's right up our street if you ask me.

    Left footed play maker? Marveaux?

Whenever he's played he's shown brilliant vision, great passing and crossing, and good on the ball.

Left winger, Ben Arfa can play that role as well as Marv, but I'd personally like Hoilett.

    Center half - Douglas.

    Left back, really not sure.

Mrv played well today and I like him but we need a proper winger if you ask me.

Marv has great creative skills, and works hard.

He accelerates well but he doesn't have great pace long distance.

I'd go for Hoilett. I agree we could use a quality LW.

Not bad, I think Pards highlighted our lack of aerial dominance so Douglas might become realistic. Marv should definitely start on the left next season. The left winger, I think MT is right it could be Elia and I would like Carr to pull of another masterstroke for the new LB. :)

At least 1 more central midfielder, at least one more dominant centre back, potentially a left back and a right back, especially a reserve/first choice ahead of Santon right back if Simpson goes, Another striker and a left winger. Also a couple of young talents for the academy.
Basically, for a squad big enough to cope with Europe and to progress on this season, we'll need at least 5 new players, plus replacements for any leavers.

I wouldn't take Moses, not consistent enough and he signed for Wigan over Newcastle when we were I. The championship. Couldn't see the bigger picture.

Yeah, I'll go along with this. Pardew has already said our transfer strategy was going To change if we made Europe so I'm expecting around 5 players to sign plus replacements for any first team players leaving.

Left back - a Carr special would be nice. Maybe this young lad from Ajax they're monitoring.
Centre back - happy with a Douglas type but I'm still thinking Pardew's comments might have been about Adil Rami.

They are the main two. Then if we can add some depth with the likes Amalfitano and some young talents like the lad on trial from Marseille. I'd also like Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield as someone we could develop. A Hoilett/Frei/Moses type as discussed earlier in the season. Maybe have a look at the South Korean lad at Bolton who broke his leg but looked great before that. A right back to cover Santon if Simpson goes. The young lad from Palace or someone similar.

Basically just add a bit of depth and replace the obvious leavers.

Wouldn't want Pieters because he seems to be consistently injured, we've got enough of that with Saylor.

Also Moses is inconsistent, he can be great on his day but doesn't do it often enough for me.

I'd be happy with something like:
    Debuchy
Douglas + another 1 or 2 good young CB prospects.
Hoilett (if we can get a good deal)
A young striker, preferably another Carr special.
A good box to box central midfielder
A quality LW to play in Ba's current role as Ba doesn't really play that well there.

    Elia/Knockaert
    De Jong/Das Bost

Would you pilfer any players from the three relegated clubs?

Jarvis from Wolves would be a good signing, Hoilett from Blackburn and maybe Stuart Holden from Bolton. All would be useless addoitions to the squad.

Chung Yong Lee, Holden, M Davies from Bolton. The first two would be dependant on fitness of course. I like Marco Alonso as a left back but he is too injury prone. Jarvis maybe from Wolves. Hoilett from Blackburn. Jason Lowe is quite highly rated from the junior ranks.

As mentioned in another thread Villareal have gone down, its well worth having a look around the european leagues to see who has suffered. The likes of Koln, Kaiserlauten, Auxerre (great youth system) have all bit the dust for a start.

Douglas has been in the spotlights lately. Very error-prone and is unable to handle the pressure since he got linked to the Dutch national squad.
Boilesen is decent but very inexperienced. Should pick him up in 2 or 3 years.
Bas Dost or Luuk de Jong, i'd go for Luuk de Jong. His playing style fits the EPL much better. Bas Dost is more a german/italian league player.
Always hugs the box whilst De Jong is technically better and has more tactical insight.
And Elia is always an improvement to any team in the EPL. Is a Robben type of player. Though he needs alot of play-time to get in form.

    I reckon well get:

    Debuchy
    Giroud (for Ba)
Roman (can't spell his surname and on my phone)
Douglas (although I don't think we'll not try for Vertonghen)
    Young striker
    Young winger
    Young CB
    Guthrie replacement
