After the chairman said that he wants fans opinions on who the next manager should be, Kent Online have created a poll where people can vote for who they think the next manager should be. So I decided to put the same list on here, with a couple of others added, so that people can vote on here who they want the new manager to be. I have had to create two threads as there is a limit to the number of poll options that can be created. You can vote for more than one person.
The Chairman's letter 1 Urged supporters not to speculate 2 Invited suggestions on the recruitment (type of person, character and personality to be precise) 3 Staed that most, if not all, of the names mentioned, he had not considered or did not even know. This seems a pretty clear indication that speculating with names is unhelpful and whoever does get appointed will not be any of the names speculated so far.
Bristol407 Give Patchy a break ! We all know that we should take what our chairman says with a pinch of salt. It wouldn't surprise me if PDS 'had' a replacement 'lined up' before Taylor's departure -- but I have no desire to ponder on that thought. This forum is NOT the cutting edge of running the team we support. It is a 'social' site for the fans - to discuss what we like - in the same way as you would in the pub pre/post match. Whilst I have not 'voted' in the poll, I appreciate the contribution of our members ( including yours )
I don't think the BBC intended this to come over as it might be interpreted by some fans please log in to view this image Scally has 'no idea' on Gills boss The next line in the headline is : Chairman Paul Scally has "no idea" who Gillingham's new boss will be but says "the situation will become clearer". Which unfortunately does somewhat diminish the humorous effect.
