its not going to be easy to convince people to sign for us. What reason would they have wanting to come here? All we can offer them is money, which they take and then we hate to admit it but naturally (will) accuse them of being only here for the money when it is pretty obvious that is why they are here. If anyone seriously suggests that Remy came here for anything related to QPR as a club, then I would have my doubts. London may have played a part, but mostly, Shearer was spot on. I still think we are being a little short sighted as if we go down, we will lose all of these bigger names who have release clauses and leave us with nothing. I would rather we at least spread the new arrivals between one or two of these names along side 3-4 players from the championship who are shining in that league. Best case, they make good squad players and won't cost much to keep and will want to fight for their place. Worst case, we have at least a core squad who, if we go down, will be ready and waiting to tear up the championship.
I'd like to think we'd get a few through the door before the end of Jan. A CB is obviously a priority, Rolando maybe. And unless Diakite has a blinding ACON and convinces 'Arry that he's the real deal, i'd imagine we'd get in a Midfielder too. To be honest im surprised we haven't triggered Diame's clause. It's gotta be worth chatting with the fella at least. Still look short up top IMHO, I know Bobby is close to fitness but if he or Remy get an injury we'd be left up **** creek without a paddle!
