I am new to this forum!. But I am wondering who do you blame for us going out of the champions league this year so early. A lot of my fellow Chelsea fans at work say its down to the players, Rafa or Robbie Di Matteo. Or is it another reason like Abramovich? My view is I think the blame lies with the players themselves as their the ones on the pitch. Can we blame rafa hes was only in charge for one group match we won against 6-1 Nordsjælland

views please vote on poll if it works as im new to this

  2. I put it down to the work of faeries, but you don't appear to have included that option in your poll.

The players, but look it was a tough group we finished 2 points off first and were level with Shakhtar in second. Juve and Shakhtar are both good European outfits and we are in essence in a transition season with Hazard, Oscar, Moses, Ba, Azipilicueta and manager changes etc etc.

Should still have qualified, transition or not. That's why RDM went.

Ba didn't join until we'd already gone out.

Yes I agree that's why that opening game against Juve at home was so key, as defending champs we should be able to close out a 2 goal lead against a decent Juve side at home. Therefore the blame lies with the players especially when Mikel made that mistake to lead to the equaliser.

And as for Ba yes he came well after we got knocked out but I added him in because in the wider scheme of things he may have done much better than Torres in the CL.

None of them. We don't have the divine right to be in he CL and English football is going through a period of transition, no team got beyond the Last 16 which says it all. Just one of those things.
