Well its half time and we are losing, if it remains the same wirh about 25 to go, who do we have as a big game changer? Wheres big Frank when you need him, lol!!! Would have liked to have seen Henshall on the bench, a bit of pace!! Fingers crossed for second half, this really is a game we should be winning!!
Yeah, Reading sound really average which just shows how poor we actually are!! I notice at the moment that Millwall are beating Fulham away, which also puts things into perspective!! We really really need some creativity!! I must admit im not looking forward to next Sat.
If McGoldrick isn’t on it we have an absolutely pathetic goal scoring threat. I am totalling effing fed up with listening to gold-plated chances being missed, usually by Murphy. And to help that, we’ve brought in Sammon whose goal scoring record could be challenged by a pot plant, should you strategically place one in the opposition’s penalty area. Or perhaps that beach ball at Sunderland a while back. I just hope to Christ he proves to be handy at setting up McGoldrick with chances. Otherwise we’ve had it.
Christ warky, you sound as pist off about it all as i am, normally your the upbeat one!! I personally think our current crop of players are all average and very similar, this will only get you so far and i think a mid table finish is the best we can hope for. I am really annoyed we have not seen any of the Cressy money but another part of me thinks that Mick would bring in more Tabb type players with it, so makes no diff either way!!
I agree With Jonah and Spanish after watching the atrocious non performance against Crawley the other night I fear that we are lacking in quality especially up front. Sammon is not the answer and I find it insulting that we are snapping up donkeys that our rivals don't want! Get your cheque book out Evans and invest some of that Cresswell money before it's too late!
Good points Jonah, we needed a lively poacher type, not Sammon who is like we already have. Its gonna be a long season unless we bring in some quality!!
Problem is warky, im not sure Mick would bring in what we are all screaming out for, he is kinda set in his ways and likes the hard working players and has no time for flair players, which is fine but it will only get you so far!!
I was listening to Michael Owen talk during the Man U game and he was talking about pace being vital in the modern game and then i look at our side.............
Weighty were you there the other night at Crawley? It isn't judgement time yet but the signs are hardly encouraging! I have been well supportive but my patience is beginning to wear a little thin! Either Evans won't spend any cash or Mick is being stubborn in refusing to spend it! I really don't know what to think about it but what I do know is that we will struggle without 2or3 more new faces! Reading were there for the taking today!
Disappointing yes, but we did have 15 shots which tells its own story. One positive for me was the immediate effects of Ando coming back on. But you would have thought having big men up front..christ 3 of the b.....ggers, we would have bagged one with all that ball. Maybe, just maybe with a few more games for Badger and Salmon ( any more wildlife out there!) and Didsy getting fitter, we could grow into a decent threat. Or am I clutching at straw bales?!
Gaffer it is obvious that Sammon isn't going to be the prolific striker we need and he doesn't offer anything different to what we already have! We still need a play maker in Midfield and above all we need some pace to counter! To not score from 15 chances is pathetic IMO and that's why we will not be getting anywhere near the top 6 this season! Another year of being boring also rans! I'm going next week to the old farm and I'm not looking forward to it one little bit!
Thing is lads, MM is working miracles with what he has, quality costs money and that's a swear word to ME
Yep I have to agree with you Dave... Good win for your boys today albeit facing 10 men for most of the game. I'm sure Adams will be a mightily relieved man tonight!
