Since Kenny took over last year we have been playing far better football than we were under Roy Hodgeson, our defensive record has been spectacular and we are passing the ball really well. We just lack a bit of quality up top to make use of all our possession in the final third. So who do we give credit to? We seem to be directing it at Kenny but I believe it is mostly down to Steve Clarke, after all he is the brains and wizard behind our training scheme and is responsible for our attractive passing play. Kenny picks the team and buys the players, which in some games (like yesterday) completely counteracts what Clarke is doing. If I wanted to spend money on watching a cart-horse run around cluelessly on a field I would have rather gone to the cinema yesterday afternoon and watch Steven Spielberg's 'War Horse' instead. After the Blackburn game I joked about giving away my ticket for the Stoke game, how I wished I did. Don't get me wrong but I am delighted about our defence and ability to knock the ball around the pitch but watching our team fail to score again and again is starting to really grind on me. I don't believe it is all down to bad luck...you make your own luck and yesterday we didn't even make anything. I left after Kuyt missed from 6 yards, I knew we wouldn't score and it wasn't worth the traffic for that ****. Well done Steve Clarke for improving Liverpool, Kenny for me...thank you but not so much. If anything he has made us not much less of a laughing stock than when we were playing **** under Hodgeson. All we get is Carroll £35m this...Downing £20m that. Alright this may be down to Comolli to some extent but Spurs fans weren't happy to see the back of him for no reason. At first I was chuffed and delighted to have a bit of class and integrity back by doing things the 'Liverpool way' and 'behind closed doors', which I still am grateful for but for me it now seems pointless and undone after we wore those ridiculous T shirts at Wigan...what happened to conducting our business behind closed doors there? The likes of Maxi, Shelvey can't get a game even after a good performance. The award for playing well is being dropped, the senile old git even took Downing off for Carroll when he had 5 defenders on the pitch. I don't mind if we finish 5th or 6th this season considering the teams around us at the moment, but when we score as many goals as we have done after spending the money we did I can't help but feel disappointed.
Completely agree. Blind faith from too many fans at the moment. Another iteration of the IRWT brigade. Eejits.
