I know you could say everyone, but here's some players I have seen signs could become a top class player under Howe. Krafth - Look solid in Trippier's absence last season. I'm so disappointed that he got injured right when he could have played a role. He looked like a new palyer. Shelvey - ASM saying he's looking great in training. We all know he has talent, he can score from distance, his long passing is good. I think we could see the best from him now and he could become a fantastic squad player if not outshining the likes of Willock and Longstaff. ASM - He cannot really be blamed for being selfish before when the team was **** and we were relying on his goals to get us anything at all. He was always good but inconsistent and played in a crappy 5 man defence system. I cannot wait to see what he's like in a consistent run of games this season. Last time we looked his passing and crossing had improved, and he was bringing others into a game that he could not win on his own. 3 assists and a goal before he got injured, it's not out of the realms of possibility he could get near 10 goals this season along with Miggy.
the fact that we haven't seen much of Shelvey as a player this season suggests that he could have improved under Howe or he may not have according to others
He doesn't, but his role isn't so much to score goals but to try and see the game out. Hold up the ball, run it to the corners, fall over his feet, win free kicks, elbow opponents, and generally be a clogger.
On the basis that Eddie can't make him any worse? OR, was Wood OK at Burnley and has since been 'Eddied' in a negative way?
In addition to this the ****housery the club has started to implement is superb. Away dug out has only 13 seats (unlucky for some) Away dug outs seats are at an angle and are not heated making it cold and slippery for changing kit and boots Away dressing room has shelves deliberately placed where players can bang heads to cause injury Away dressing room only has 1 ice bath and only luke warm water in the showers
I’d like to say all the youth. We are buying/signing a lot of youth players now which is great. But I want to see them being unleashed into the 1st team squad and starting 11. Anderson is on the brink. Let’s hope Howe can just get him over that line and make him a top player.
I agree. The only way to find out if they’re good enough is to play them. Not 5 min from end and out of position and after 4 other substitutions but from the start.
Absolutely. We have to be brave. To be honest the next 2-3 years we have to be because that’s when these players will develop. It’s great to see.
