On a serious note, Meyler will probably come in, but I personally would have Quinniesta.

Meyler is probably the closest thing we have to Livermore, but he gives possession away too much for me.

He also chases the ball too much, instead of maintaining the defensive shape.

Meylers going to be very hungry to prove himself, and he is a goal threat.

Have not been impressed with Meyler lately, but think he is the natural choice.

I reckon Quinn, he's been picked quite a bit already & can see SB sticking him in. Also I wonder if Hudds scores if he's got a celebration already worked out for his big hair cut, would he then cancel it? Against old club & all that.

Meylers the natural choice, but he can scare the **** out of me when he,s having one of those games where he gives the ball away. Most of last seasons team players have upped their game, I cant see no reason why Meyler cant do the same.

I think it'll be Meyler. But I'd have Quinn in too.

I think it has to be Meyler. Bruce is the alternative, but that is only if you want to be extremely negative - to be honest, looking at Spurs yesterday (certainly before they first scored), we could potentially get away with sitting back, and not letting them play beyond half-way.

I would play Quinn, but that would be instead of Elmo.

He seems to be doing better than everybody expected him to; he was supposed to be quite highly rated at Arsenal so it'll be interesting to see if he can fulfil his potential. I can't see him being part of our first team any time soon. A place on the bench would be a nice reward for what sounds like a lot of hard work from him.

Didn't do anything against Huddersfield, don't think he's really in the Q when it comes down to first team just yet, unless he's impressed in reserve games/ training.

Not in our 25 man squad, so doubt he will be.

Apart from the first game of the season, Meyler's played half an hour all season, all off the bench. He was good when he came on against Newcastle and his other two games he was on for 10 and 5 minutes. He was also one of our best players in the Cup game.

So how can you have no been impressed when he's not played?

What more does Boyd have to do? He has been incredibly impressive in almost every sub appearance this season.

    I wasn't being serious...

Maybe Matthew Fletcher would be the answer to our goalscoring problems?

Has to be Meyler. Was one of our best players last season, hugely energetic like Livermore, a goal scoring threat, and a very enthusiastic and positive influence on the field. Love his attitude. He's hardly played this season because Jake has been so good, but deserves a full 90 minutes. Adding Quinn, Boyd, and Elmo will give us a strong MF against a mostly reserve team Spurs.

Gedo is ready for almost a full game, Proschwitz should come in, Sagbo will get minutes.

Macca and Bruce at CH. Dudgeon should fill in for Figs if he hasn't gone to Barnsley (???). Not sure about RB...probably Rossy if he's ok. Harper an excellent back up in goal.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us get a win in the LC.
