Absolutely shocking and for the second week in a row I find myself ****ing raging and fuming at his incompetence to make logical substitutions.

What has Ben Arfa done to be not only left out of the starting XI but to see inexperienced youngsters like Sammy and Vukcic get the nod ahead of him to come on?

Rubbish. And if we can't take our chances during games like this then God help us when Ba leaves for the ACoN , I can only hope Pardew had a plan B after Maiga failed his medical because we need someone to be ready to play from the 1st of January.

    Rant over.

We don't see the performances and application of players in training.

Pardew is a good manager in every way apart from substitutions. In fact, when it comes to subs, he's one of the worst managers I've seen, and for all his good points, his lack of the right sub choices could end up costing us a few positions on the table.

Sameobi is not ready to be making regular appearances in the first team. The fact he comes on ahead of Ben Arfa is a joke.

The fact that Obertan starts ahead of Ben Arfa is also a joke.

In the early part of the season, despite doubting several of Pardew's substitutions, they turned out well (eg; the numerous Shola substitutions which Shola did score or do well)...
But Today he got it wrong... HBA should've been torturing the Swansea defenders for at least 80 minutes... and not zero..

Shola was useless yet again. Two half decent perfomances over the season should not mean he's the first choice sub. It's insane.

Sammy is still too raw. Needs a loan.

But to be fair, performances on the pitch matter more. Training is to maintain fitness and work on technique more than anything. Shola could bang in 20 and Ba 0 in training I still know who i'd play. So why throw on a donkey and 2 unproven kids over Hatem Ben Arfa.

Obertan has been decent after his few games for us but today he was awful beyond the realms of imagination. Hatem Ben Arfa, I wouldn't blame him for wanting a move tbh.

Well that would make you incredibly fickle...

The substitutions were ****, but at the same time like Why Aye Cabaye said, we don't really see the full picture. Hopefully Pardew will realise that Shola just does enough every five or so games to warrant his selection for the next few.

He raves about HBA yet doesn't play him. It's starting to worry me and I'm not looking forward to West Brom at all, I can see us losing. No Cabaye either.

Only watched 15 minutes... and Obertan managed to piss me off .. his shot after making a bit of pass was total ****. Its the he "used to play for Man U lets give him game time" thing that nufc has. Mind you i cannot speak for the rest of the game - so apologies if he played well!.

Also HBA has to play in these kinda games especially.

The reason this game got away from us today is because Best was taken off. We were dominating today because we didn't let them play, that was because Ba and Best worked so hard to make sure that the centre backs couldn't play the ball out. Then when you bring on that fat lazy prick (Shola Ameobi) it ruined our game. He just walked around and put no pressure on there defenders at all. The only substitution that should have been made, in my opinion, was HBA for Obertan.

    Absolutely furious!

I'm pretty sure you were watching a completely different game if you thought Obertan was 'awful'
