We are!!! Some of us have even bought season tickets for next season. Dunno if any of these 'Brits' are in a position to buy out RD though.
We can all relax, @James Dutton is waiting for his next message from his Aussie beer meeting chums The ones who told him to tell Charlton fans they were 'very hopeful' of concluding the deal 'next week' #muggedoff
They have a pub in Oz with a Free Beer Tomorrow sign outside. They should set one up in SE7, it would do a roaring trade.
Had it confirmed overnight that he is the only person who genuinely knows what is happening. The rest are just attention seeking or pretending.
So the Australian Consortium is colluding with Duchatelet to separate CAFC from the Valley. How could the Australians possibly hope to sell that to Charlton fans as a good move. There would be a riot at the ground the first time they showed their faces. This is the prefect paranoid doomsday scenario, to destroy the credibility of the new owners in the eyes of supporters. Based on nothing but posts on a fans' forum. #evidenceplease
So someone is putting out a rumour that the Australian Consortium is colluding with Duchatelet to separate CAFC from the Valley. I wonder why? Fixed that for you.
With respect, you are starting to sound a bit rattled now. Both on here, and on Cardigan Life. Go and have a cup of tea in the garden. You’ve called it wrong & been used as a cipher for duff info.
You use that line on CL I notice, when people call you out. You really have a problem with being challenged, don’t you?
Nobody is saying that the Aussies are colluding with anyone what we are saying is that the Auusies do not have the money to buy the Valley and the training ground and are willing to rent these from the Belgian.
So in other words, the Ausies are colluding with Duchatelet to separate CAFC from the Valley. The Club no longer owning the ground and having to rent it from Duchatelet would mean CAFC and the Valley are no longer one and the same thing - they have been separated. Both parties agreed to this arrangement (in secret and without consulting Charlton fans of course) - therefore they have colluded. __________ If separating the Club from the Valley is now part of the take-over deal let's have that out in the open. There is no way the Consortium can justify keeping that a secret - if it is true. Personally I think it is misinformation. And I would understand why the Consortium might feel they should not be having to refute every scrap of nonsense posted about them on fans forums. But in this case they might want to think about stating officially that there is no truth in this rumour about the Valley and the training ground being retained by Duchatelet, and Charlton Athletic becoming tenants in the stadium they used to own. If it is untrue it is a divisive, destructive rumour and it should be stamped on right now. If there is truth in it, then it is a very grave matter indeed. Greenwich Council should certainly be involved in my opinion, and the full details of the arrangement should be made public as soon as possible. If it can be stopped then it should be stopped by any legal means available to the Council or Charlton fans.
No Lardi, they just don't have the funds to buy the Club and the Valley so are willing to JUST buy the Club... collusion suggests bad intent, nobody is suggesting they have bad intensions just small wallets
The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. If the Consortium think that agreeing to separate Charlton Athletic from the Valley will lead to any kind of positive future then they must be more naive and ignorant about the history of our Club and about English Football than Roland Duchatelet ever was. Nothing good will come of it. That's one reason why I can't believe it. Making our Club landless tenants again would be an unforgivable betrayal.
The info I have is that the Aussies want to get Charlton to the PL for the money, they aren't that bothered about owning the Valley or the training ground... I guess that if Charlton are in the PL playing in the Olympic Stadium (sharing with Wet Spam) then that would be fine with them!
It's quite easy really, if you don't want to be called out, don't post. The public service that you and many others think they are providing by ITK comments are laughable. Not a day goes by without another "missed deadline" from one or more of the ITK. Whislt the time it's taking is frustrating, wouldn't it be better for all concerned to wait for an official comment from the club / buyers.
