    So who will it be
    To accompany
    QPR and Reading as they,
    Leave for pastures new
    As surely they´ll do
When we enter the month of May

    All betting has stopped
    On those two who´ve copped
    Too many unwanted defeats,
    And for the third place
    It´s a two horse race
Or so it´s rumoured on the streets

    And should Villa lose
    Tomorrow, then choose
Between them and Wigan I´d say,
    To fill the last spot
    As both have some hot
And tricky fixtures left to play

    But don´t take my word
    Or what you have heard
    Decide for yourself up above,
    And vote and we´ll see
    Just who it might be
Who´ll wave bye to a treasure trove.

Wigan for me too. Aston Villa have players capable of scoring goals and that will be the difference.

We need Spudz to get a good result today against Citeh to give them momentum going into their midweek game against Wigan. IF Spudz beat Wigan it should then be curtains for them IMO. Having said that, I'd much rather we put a nail in Villa's coffin in a couple of weeks time ;)

Villa. Get beated by ManU, draw with a resurgent Sunderland then we'll tonk em' at Carrow Road, holty to do the business and show you what a player like that is capable of in the big games.

I have no ax to grind with PL, OK his departure was a bit messy, but he was excellent for us during his time at FCR, I also think Wigan's great escape is not going to save them this year!

I do hope your right Beef! I'd personally prefer to see Villa go down, as I don't think they'll be this bad next season, whilst Wigan are much more likely to be, so it makes things slightly easier for us next season. That and relegating Lambert would be an incredibly sweet feeling, even if I do have immense respect for what he did here.

I think the crucial games could be Villa's visit to us and then the last game of the season between them, hopefully a winner takes all finale. Newcastle could still be dragged into it though, their run-in is pretty difficult. If there's a winner when we play Stoke, I think the winner will be safe and the loser could still get drawn into it.

I would also prefer to see Villa go down, being such a big club and all, just don't think it'll happen but if it is all on the last day I will not be watching our game at Man City <laugh>

Rather see Wigan go down personally, no disrespect to their fans but I always feel slightly disappointed to see a poor turn out to big games and I think Lambert is winning the Villa crowd back so a packed Villa park is better for the prem than a half full DW

I heard you the first time ;)

Yes, of course it would be ironic and karma, but I don't think it will happen! <ok>

Villa supporters seem confident they will beat us at home, I will be happy if we disappoint them. For me it is either between Wigan and Villa, I'd prefer Villa to go down but I think this is the year Wigan's luck runs out.

i can't see Wigan pulling off their annual miracle this season. too many big games in too short a space of time for it to be realistic. in May they have 5 games in just 16 days, one of them being the cup final. too much for them to overcome this time. their cup run could ultimately be their undoing (sound familiar?).

Have to admit I´ve got no particular preference between the two of them, but I just have a sneaking feeling that if Wigan can manage to stay at worst, only 3 points behind Villa until that last game of the season, then they´ll beat them there, and that will decide it, but the FA Cup Final could just spoil it for ´em though, whether they win it or lose it.

Villa have already beaten us at home once this season and it was a very humiliating spineless performance from our lot.

Lets hope that we will have some pride and will go into the game fired up and realise for the fans it is massive game.

To be totally honest I think we will lose against Villa, Lambert is a big game manager and he thrives on this type of backs against the wall situation.

I think we have a bigger chance of taking 3 points from WBA who have very little to play for.

I think we'll have learnt lessons from the Villa cup game, the formation that night just didn't work, so I don't think we'll play 4-4-2 this time around. We looked much the better team at Villa park though, so we'll see. The result in the cup game was also inflated by us trying to get back into it late on.

It was actually a pretty even game I thought, it was only in the last 10 minutes or show when Villa got 3 goals and ended up 1 - 4. Also we had key players missing, I'm more confident this time if we don't get any more injuries. Our home record is pretty good too.

Did you really think that? Its amazing how people can have such a different view of a performance.

I thought we were murdered in midfield and had very little on the wings to pull of a 4-4-2. Howson had a shocker. Pretty much signalled the end of Mark Tierney's and Steve Morison's NCFC career.
