Good enough for the Championship. He'll be 32 in 2017. Will he still be good enough after? http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/article/whittingham-contract-1763345.aspx
Our squad would undoubtable be a weaker place without him. Must feature in Ole's plans or he wouldn't have been offered this.
Extremely gifted player who wants to be at the club - a refreshing change from the ones that want to leave. If he had some decent pace, he'd be a Prem certainty. As he is, he has all the ability to haul us back this season, but he seems to need the occasional arm around the shoulder when things aren't going right. Ole said that at the back end of last season when he virtually said he'd made a mistake in dropping him and pledged that Whitts would start all the last four games. If he takes the same approach with him this season, we could see the best of Whitts again.
Not my favourite is Whitts, to slow and lazy as far Ole's plan ? Super Kev was given a new contract too.
McNuggs got one year, Whitts three. Bit different Dai. Also gives protection against low Forest bids. FACT!!! We know Whitts can be a class act at Championship level.
^^^ fking legend .....we don't tend 2 chuck around the legend or messiah names with my club dai........the lads a good un but legend ....oh my fking sides
the only legend 2 come from wales played his best football in Italy brother>>>>and your flee bitten club didn't even see his quality he did manage 2 play for his capital club mind
Fair play aber - Dai was probably thinking about his mate Trundle - now there was a leg end. The best thing about that era was they flogged him to the Wurzels for about a million at the time - fair play, old Huw stitched up the smock wearers a bloody treat. They didn't realise he meant pounds not bloody turnips..... There was a silver ling to it all mind, BurgerKing broke all records in Wurzel Land that year.
ha sparkey by all accounts he`s eaten enough cows 2 have filled the liberty stadium twenty times>>>>>>u`d never tell mind I do tend 2agree with dai on the swans players mind>>>>>apart from mel Charles andy legg and jimmy Gilligan the rest are true leg ends. agree with aber, i haven't seen a 'legend' of this club in my lifetime (22), and whitts is a loyal player for us, and its good news that he's signed for another 3 years but he aint a legend thats for sure……..
In years to come, every member of the promotion squad will become legendary....so in that sense, yes, he is a legend. Personally, even at his best, he's a tad lazy, still a great player & servant for the club, though.
I think he has a lazy style rather than being lazy. Big difference. He does go missing from time to time but I've seen games when he busts a gut to defend.
