... but we're starting to pick up some wins consistently against some very good teams. Hopefully this continues at Watford this weekend (i'll be there)
Like I said whisper it quietly. All my Premier League supporting mates keep asking me if I think we'll go up. After being over confident last season i'm keeping my mouth shut.
... I'd take them away ... they'd likely give us 10,000 tickets and we'd likely sell them ... glory nights
Let's get them in he semi final. That way we get them home and away Hopefully Hull do Spurs and we get them at the KP in the next round
... we need to keep in mind that we conceded 3 last night ... we'll not score 4 against many Prem sides and need to get a lot tighter at the back .... not complaining, just saying like
I'm with you - just how much of an anti-climax would losing to Hull be? ... I'd rather have one of the top boys 'underestimating' us and fielding a much changed side personally ... but hey ho ... whatever will be will be ...
I was thinking more for the sake of this board. I know it was a brilliant win and all, but is anyone else worried that an extended cup run will hamper our promotion chances? or is it just me?
Personally I believe that winning on all fronts is a very good habit and that good cup runs equate to good form / enthusiam with everyone wanting to play. Other see it differently, which I accept - and some will point to Wigan and Birmingham etc - but I'd counter with Man United's treble, Liverpool's trophy hall when Bruno was playing for them ... even Bradford last season - lost a cup final but gained very valuable Wembley experience and won a play-off final there as the season culminated. One of our best ever seasons was winning the C1 Cup 9equivalent) getting robbed by Erliund Johnsson in the FA Cup at Chelsea and finishing with a commendable league position - the confidence on all fronts had us believing that we could win any game (and we often did). It is fair to say that a team's form can dip after winning a cup final (as Swansea's did last season) - but look what that cup success has generated - in terms of the players that have signed for them in this close season with the lure of European footie etc ...
