    A) Continue playing great passing football and win nothing for the next 5 years

    B) Change to a more direct style if it meant you won trophies again?

We sort of did B anyway. We're far more direct than we have been in the past.

because a great direct style definitely means trophies.
just look at stoke or west ham... or hull

and please don't come out with the stereotypes of our great passing. recently we have been a lot more direct. working on our defence a lot more has meant we have less flair in attack, but we still win games.
our style isn't really of great passing anymore. its changed a lot.

and wumming is really not appreciated, because behind all of what you said, that was your purpose in coming on our board. please don't do that again.

No it isn't - the teams you mention aren't capable of playing any other way than direct - teams like Arsenal (and Liverpool - who haven't won anything now for years either and are further behind the top 3 than you) are capable of mixing it up. All I'm asking is how do you make yourselves title contenders again?

Buy some better players. Improve tactically, signs were there in the latter half of the season. Lets see if we build on it or revert to type. With the money the three teams have above us and the fact they are all looking to spend indicates that no matter how much we do we prob won't win the league immediately. But we can definitely start moving in the right direction.

Henry was ok and I would be more than happy to take Benzema. Plus we are signing Sangoo so your point is already moot.

Thierry Henry is a once in a lifetime player. Other french strikers have 1 or 2 good seasons then vanish.

Hope so - Man U dominating the title race has become boring. Can't see Man City winning it next year - Chelsea with Jose? Who knows - it doesn't always work when you go back and some of his top players from last time (Terry, Lampard) are at the end of their careers now. I'd love to see Arsenal and Liverpool become genuine contenders again and make it more interesting for everybody

Consistency and attitude. If we play the whole season like we played in March-April-May we will not just be the contenders, we will be the strong favourites. 8 wins and 2 draws in our last 10 games is a champions form. And our defensive record for this period was impeccable. And that is with our current squad.

If we could get to us, ManU, Man C and Chelsea as all realistic title contenders we would probably have the most competitive league in the world, let alone if Liverpool could join that group as well.

I don't believe your pictures are real; there is no John Terry in them.

Supporting a team is about more than counting trophies, every club has a dry patch and I can't tell you how bad we were when I first started going to Arsenal in 1982 but you fall in love with your chosen club and develop a strong lifelong affection with them.
It's a smuch about how the club are portrayed, financial stability/the future and entertainment levels as it is about trophies.
Arsenal and the players aren't perfect by any stretch but they tick far more boxes than most clubs, especially those who have bought shame on their clubs in recent seasons and there are a few of them...
