I'd say Shearer's was better, but not knocking Taylor's effort! What a ****ing strike.

I've gone for Shearer as it was a full volley but it was a close one, which says something about the quality of Taylor's strike!

I voted Shearer as he had no time to set himself, full volley and was just sensational. Raylor had a little time to set himself up. We love scoring screamers against Everton! Ben Arfa, Robert.

Got to be Shearer, as the 2 strikes go it was a close one. But Shearer's takes it as we were a goal down, struggling to break them down if I remember correctly and up popped Shearer.

Defo Shearer. Don't get me wrong but I've seen many goals like Taylor's, where they just need to sink it over the keeper on the half volley- was still a cracking goal which got me up out of my seat!

Shearer's was just an absolutely stunning volley which 9 times out if 10 completely 'av it' a la Peter Kay from the John smith's advert.

  8. Definitely Shearers. Shearer's had so much power and accuracy on it, brilliant.

Shearer's, the fact that Taylor's went in off the bar takes away from it a little for me but it was still a quality strike.

Shearer was a striker who scored 250+ goals, should have a better technique and has been in that position many many times.

Raylor is a right footed left back who has scored less than 25 goals, should have no decent technique in the position he found himself in and rarely if ever again will get that chance again.

So I voted for Raylors on the basis that although it was not as good a goal to VIEW it was on the very edge of his ability....... IT WAS ONE HELL OF A STRIKE but I bet it does not even get in the goal of the month nominations.

  11. The fact that it hit the bar, IMO, shows that it was even more perfectly placed.

Whichever is best, there aren't many goalkeepers in the world that would've saved either of them.

Shearers, it was just pure instinct no time to set it up no time to think about it. Just whack, and in. While Raylor while excellent had more time to think about it and set it up. Both fantastic goals though.

Shearer; it was a harder shot to hit and he hit it perfectly.

I voted for Raylor's, purely because he's an out of position defender and he can score goals like that when he wants to!

Shearer, was just an incredible goal, and a volley instead of a half volley.

Both quality goals but for me it was Ryan Taylor's, though if I remember rightly Alan Shearer's goal was an 89th minute equaliser in a game we won 2-1. Where as Taylor's was in the first half we were already 1-0 up.

Not really, he was aiming for the bar to put it out of Howards reach.

Has to be Shearer's. Ryan Taylors was class but that Shearer goal will be remembered for a lot longer, what a hit.
