would you most like to beat this coming season and why? For me I'm afraid it's West Ham and Reading. Feel as if we have unfinished business with both and need to show we were the best team last season.
Have sympathy with that as I enjoyed being so much better than Brighton for that reason last year. Also may be more important to our survival to beat the 'small' clubs, but would be nice to beat ManU. It's always funny to beat ManU.
I work with a ManU fan who keeps saying how they relegated us years after the event. He is a .....typical Manu fan from London...need I say more.
I would love to beat citeh on the first day of the new season, I would just love it (c) kevin keegan it would send a huge ripple through the division, and boost our confidence.
arsenal - brother is a big arsenal fan Man city - first game reading - cause they finished above us man utd - few mates support man utd To be fair, all of them.
You see that doesn't annoy me as his opinion doesn't count. Would like to do well against the big teams but important to beat the likes Reading and Wham. Otherwise Spurs as there is a colleague who is a big fan.
Wigan. I may need a "solicitor's collection fund" to be started on here though as the wife files for divorce. Wife is a Wigan fan. Father-in-law and brother-in-law are Wigan season ticket holders! Just can't wait. I will need to get them some ear defenders though when they come to St Mary's, as they aren't used to a lot of noise.
100% agree. That would be perfect. Got no beef with WHU & Reading, they are just Sunderland & Fulham to me now.
All of them, then we win the league. Especially Man U and Liverpool though as their fans are very annoying.
I hate Reading for their plastic little fans and the fact they finished above us - everyone knows we were the best team last season, we just messed it up at the end - so I'd love it if we give them an absolute hammering! Also, all of my family on mum's side are Villa fans so I really hope we beat them!
I used to have an annual wager with a friend on who would finish higher in the league, his team Spurs or us. Not sure I want to make that bet this year with him, but it would be nice to see us beat Spurs...
Sad to say, it's West Ham for me. I used to like them but I've made the mistake of having a peek at the KUMB site and there is a boringly repetitive amount of anti-Saints bile being spewed on there. We denied them their God given right to automatic promotion. I thought it might die down after their play-off success, but they obviously can't handle being third best in the Championship.
That's my favourite hobby! I just had a look at West Ham's fixtures, they are basically the opposite of ours. In their first nine games they play Arsenal, and the other eight look completely winnable. Then they finish up with City, Newcastle, Everton and a relegation decider v Reading. Another fixture that is probably forgotten is Pardew's return to St Mary's in November (they will have played a Europa League game midweek, if they get to the group stages). I like Newcastle so hopefully they do as well this season.
It looks like someone's TRIED to put us in the right place alphabetically on the Premier League list but we're still behind Stoke, Swansea and Sunderland!
