I think Watford have the hardest Palace nearly as hard Leicester and Cardiff both about he same And we have about the easiest. I know that it is impossible to forecast this league, but it looks to me like the final day will be a real belter.
I still think we're a few games too early to be looking at the run ins. You really want to be looking at the last 6 games, last 8 at a push, and even then you need to be looking at what a team actually needs from them. I know it's impossible, but as an extreme example if Cardiff needed 1 point and were playing the top 6 sides in the PL it would actually be an easier run in than us needing 15 points from the last 6 against teams in our league.
Surely the last day is the Championship Final? We'll be on the beach waiting for the Prem fixtures by then.
Honestly I don't believe anyone has an easy run in. Games I've expected us to win, we've lost. Games I've expected us to lose, we've won. Same applies across all other teams too. Still can't believe Brighton got 3 points last week of Cardiff. Udders going from the top to the bottom. Posh scoring a ****e load, or conceding a ****e load. This league is fooked up.
Treat the remaining games as a mini league, forget the rest and win 7 draw 4 lose 2 and we would be unlucky not to finish in the top 2 .
For me the next 5 games for Hull City are massive in that IF we could win 4 of them that would IMO have us nailed on for a top 2 finish. Looking at the other fixtures over the same period all our rivals will drop points as they play each other. Winning @ Crystal Palace would have the same impact as our win @ WBA back in 2008.
id say Leicester have the toughest and Watford is the one id call easier - though nobodys got it easy . Leicester playing our promotion rivals could help play into Citys hands - hopefully dropped points all round
We have the easiest run in. Promotion party @ Barnsley, followed by a title party a week later. You couldn't rule that out. Keep your eyes on the prize Let's start with three points today and get this show on the road.
On paper we have the easiest March and the hardest April. You can therefore bet your mortgage on us getting more points in April than March.
Yeah, we have the same style. Win when w expect to lose, bollox it up against the bottom sides! Weird isn't it? Oh, and bad luck for today, but good luck in the play offs!!!
When we're ****e I'm optimistic - the one season that we're sat extremely comfortably within the top six I'm constantly being pessimistic. Bolton - Good home record. Birmingham - League position nonwithstanding they still have enough quality to sneak a win over any team Palace - Only 4 points behind us and looking extremely strong at home. Burnley - We always lose to them, you know the drill. Forest - Could start a decent run in time for our game, especially with a new (or old) man in charge. Huddersfield - It's on Sky. I think the last three seasons have removed any belief that we can succeed regardless of how good we look at various points in a season.
The following is the breakdown of the top 8 teams remaining fixtures: Interesting ? As they say, anything can happen....it's football. Speculate away fellas......... Team Games left points so far Against Top 6 teams Against top 12 teams Against Bottom 5 teams Home Away Home Away Cardiff 14 67 1 3 4 4 3 Hull City 13 62 3 1 4 2 4 Watford 13 59 1 2 5 2 3 Palace 13 58 2 0 3 2 3 Leicester 15 53 1 2 3 5 1 Boro 13 51 1 1 3 1 4 Brighton 14 49 2 1 4 2 4 Forest 13 45 1 3 2 4 2 Leeds 14 45 0 3 2 4 1
Numbers in order are: games left, points accrued to date, against top 6 teams - home, away, against top 12 teams - home, away, against bottom 5 teams. Hope not too confusing, but I couldn't get the column headings to align with the data. Apologies
