Maureen was moaning again yesterday about having to play away twice over Christmas, but so do Arsenal and Utd. The Spuds have a fairly tricky set of fixtures facing both Utd and Chelsea, although both of those games are at home, their other tie is away to Leicester. City look to have a fairly straight forward run (on paper anyway) West Brom away, followed by whipping boys Burnley and Sunderland at home. Lots of points to be won and lost over the festive period. The table could have a very different look to it on 2nd Jan. Here's a list of the festive fixtures for each club http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ckiest-christmas-schedule-and-who-has-it-easy
I think this is the only part of the fixture list that really matters. Having a tough or easy start / finish doesn't really matter, everyone must play everyone. However, at Christmas the games come thick and fast so ideally you want to be avoiding the top sides who have the bigger squads and are able to cope with the demands much better. Teams like Chelsea and Man City can a second string out that is still capable of getting a top four place. We have a pretty good Christmas period... 26.12.14: Burnley (A) 29.12.14: Swansea (H) 01.01.15: Leicester (H) ...no disrespect intended but we've definitely not got the hardest. I don't know what other teams face so we may well have what would be deemed the easiest. No doubt we'll still **** it up though Edit: just had a look and West Ham, Southampton and Spurs have all got a tough three games coming up that involves two of the better sides in the league.
I did say we'd **** it up Anything less then 8pts from those three games must be considered a failure IMO though
