and who are the biggest bottlers ?

Liverpool have been a bit of both, had a fantastic season up until losing at home to Chelsea and handing City the incentive to win the league.

City have quietly gone about accumulating points and now look likely to grab the title at the end.

Arsenal, looked good until we lost Walcott and Ramsey, then suffered some humiliating spankings at the hands of our rivals. But looked like genuine title contenders and could still end up with a trophy this season.

Everton. Had a great season, Martinez has done really well with them and got them playing exciting attacking football. Unlucky not to get a CL spot, but glad they haven't as it would have been at our expense.

Chelsea, might end up with the title of biggest bottlers. Mourinho looked like he was on for a title and CL trophy, had beaten the top teams around him and then went and lost to Villa, Sunderland and Palace and ****ed it. Got taken apart by Atletico and the specialist in failure might end up with nothing this season.

Man Utd. Utter ****e, probably the worst season out of the top teams. Went from Champions to failing to even qualify for the Europey league. Played boring football with no creativity and no idea. Massive fall from grace.

    As for the rest.

Spurs. Tried to claim they'd be better without Bale as they'd have more balance through the team, but spunked an obscene amount of money up the wall on utter dross, then gradually imploded as the season went on. We handed them three defeats this season, but more telling is the fact that West Ham did the same and that says it all. It's a miracle that they are 6th. If Utd, Toon and Soton hadn't had such crap seasons, they'd be in midtable battling it out with Stoke.

Southampton. Looked really good for half the season and then completely fell away. Had board room issues and a change of chairman. Good manager and quality players. I think they'll be disappointed not to have finished a bit higher.

Toon, stuck with that muppet Pardew and going nowhere. Massive club and consistently let down by their manager and board.

I'd say Liverpool for both. The elation for being so so close to winning the title and having it snatched away so near the end. Hey they could still win it but I don't really see it happening.

Man Utd's fall from grace has been nice to watch.

Spurs have been hillariously bad this season. Their time at the top end is coming to an end, there will an exodus in the summer by any decent player wishing to salvage their careers. Also, Sherwood. Lol.

Arsenal were leading the pack for a while but predicatably fell away in the winter months. Would not call it a good or bad season really, Wenger has met once again what is required by the board (4th) with the bonus of a potential FA cup trophy. Had injuries been a bit kinder well who knows.

Southampton always fall away from what I can remember, nothing new there.

    Pardew...

I think we have had a so-so season. I was really disillusioned with Aw and the board particularly after the various drubbings we got, conceded 6 v Chelsea and City and 5 v liverpool.... Ok we have done better than I thought at the start of the season as I thought we would struggle to make 4th. If we win the fA cup it would be an ok season as we fell apart wrt the title way before Easter!

We've been fortunate as we've only made 4th due to the retirement of SAF.

Best season has to be Citeh, already won a trophy, about to win the PL, they have a great manager who knows what he's doing and will address any weaknesses in the summer. It's all well and good having the money, but you have to use it well (see Spurs).

Worst season is ManUre, by a long long way. The side that cruised to the league last year misses out on European football this season, has sacked their manager, and needs about 7-8 signings to revitalise the squad

Have to say credit where it's due, City have quietly flown under the radar these past couple months quietly getting into a winning position.

Considering Ashley gives Pardew no money to spend and sells his best player, they should be grateful they wern't ever in a relegation battle

This all comes down to expectations for me.
City with their billions are expected to win the league, weren't they talking about winning all 4 at one stage ?
So for me they cannot have had the best season of anyone, I'd give that to Palace considering where they were at end Sept.

    Worst season ?
Man Utd are the obvious ones but again, expectations wouldn't have been that high after the mess Fergie left them with.
I'd say the worst season club for me is Cardiff, what that joker of an owner has done could rip the heart out of the club and we've seen so many times clubs struggle to recover from relegation, they could languish in the Champs for a while, if not lower....

And further down the leagues, good to see Wolves on the up again. Would like them to get back-to -back promotions like my club Southampton. And Leicester too, topping a 100 points. That said, Leicester better beware the curse that has befallen "Championship" winning teams recently (Reading and Cardiff, straight back, QPR, back after two)

As for you guys, no better no worse than last season. Admittedly, you have missed Ramsey and Walcott was just beginning to show glimpses of goalscoring potential when he got injured. Unlucky for you. Worst over the season has to be ....... Manchester United!!!

If we win the cup, then it is certainly better than last season.

It could have been a lot better had you got a win over Manchester United, for confidence levels alone, and obviously done better in the key matches against City and Chelsea. May the best team win in the FA Cup Final - which should be you provided you don't go in all cocky as you did against Birmingham City!!!! Would like you guys to at least get to the SF of the Champions League next season!!! Enjoy the summer break '87!!!!

I don't understand why people are saying City have had the best season. They've spend ludacris amounts and have the best squad on paper. They should be top or near it. The CC is a nothing cup.

The best season goes to Liverpool, as 4th spot was their highest goal but they've managed to be challenging, and could win the league. The worse is obviously Manure, they've dropped out the top 4 and have never at any point, looked like challenging. They have also sacked their manager and the team looks like needing an overhaul, which is more to do with Moyes than the players themselves.

An honourable mention goes to Palace for doing so well under Pulis.

Our season has yo-yo'ed and if we end up winning the FA cup, then it will turn out to be decent.

Pardon me for butting in fellas but we've just had our best season ever. Highest points in the Prem, FA Cup against you fellas and now we're in the Europa Cup. All this that was running alongside our fight to keep our name. Ten years ago we was just starting our climb out of the basement league, we'd never have dreamt then we'd be where we are now.

Hope the Final is a great match for all fans around the World watching on the Telly <cheers>

Yes, but Liverpool have all but bottled a shot at the league, so that should prevent them from having the best season.

Good season....hull for first cup final , palace for staying up and sunderland for cup final and staying up, city, liverpool
Meh season....league wise you lot but if you win cup it will have been a good season, chelsea, southampton, everton, west ham, wba, stoke
Bad season ... villa, toon, cardiff, swansea, fulham, norwich,
**** season...us...how a team can come 6th after losing 3 times to west ham, losing to norwich, failing to beat wba, only having plus2 gd, losing 5 home games and losing 5-0 and 5-1 at home and 4-0, 6-1 and4-0 away is a ****ing mystery to me...I get 2 or 3 of those these happen but all of them?
But a special mention needs to go to .... united.. so beyond **** they made us look good <laugh>
    ****ing awful...

As mentioned, if it wasn't for Utd being so ****e, Pardew being crap and Soton falling away you would have been battling it out with Stoke in midtable. You are definitely flattered by 6th place. Given the money you spent too and the clown you've got now as a manager it's a ****ing shambles of a season.
