Seeing as we have a thread for who we support, I thought it would be interesting to see who the most disliked teams are
Oakland. Someone I know but don't like is a Raiders fan, so I just get joy every time they lose because of it. Bitter of me, I know, but it's good fun.
I don't particularly hate any team, but Dallas always seem to come over as thinking they are the number one, above everyone else.
I also dislike Dallas, Pompey - they even have the cheek to call themselves "America's team" (Not mine, thanks very much you Texas bigheads!).
I don't hate any team (dislike the Giants for beating us in the SB.. twice!), however, if I was to "hate" on a team, it would be the Dallas Cowboys, sheer arrogance calling themselves "America's Team" and I ain't even American! There’s inter-division rivalry with the NY Jets but wouldn’t call that hate!
IMO, hate is usually a product of division rivalries, or the continued success by one team in the NFL generally. As a Jets fan, I hate the Patriots. I don't like the Dolphins and have a general "hostile co-existence" policy towards the other New York State team, the Buffalo Bills.
Quite often I find myself watching a game and choosing a favourite who I then hope will win that match. Often things happen during a game that influence how I feel. So I suppose I have a shaky list in order of who I like, with Tampa way at the top and Dallas would usually be at the bottom.
it wasnt Dallas that coined it it was Bob Ryan on NFL films. but saying that I dont like them either, its like the NYY, i cant stand those either, won too many World Series for those though.
I use to hate the Colts, but since they had their big clear I have almost liked watching them. Now it's probably NY Giants for beating Pats so many times in th SB.
i should hate the packers as i'm a vikings fan but like most on here i love seeing tony romo being flattened! who gave them the name "americas team" anyway??
The Dirty Birds even more this year with the whole Matty Ice ****, you know the fella whose won 0 play off games and couldnt score from the 2 against the worst defence in the NFL which would have won the Falcons the game
Shows that not all hull city fans know what they are talking about Falcons are my team! The team i hate the most would have to be the packers mainly cos when i was first getting into NFL, my mate was a massive packers fan so i always took pleasure in them losing!
I tend to just want the NFC to beat the AFC teams as they all seem to be the teams I like. I particularly dislike the Cowboys (due to my stereotypical view of the people there), also Houston, Tampa because he owns Utd, and the new franchises or anyone who has changed there name since the eighties (no logic behind it I know). Incidently how come LA lost both its teams.
There's a wiki page dedicated to that mystery: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_National_Football_League_in_Los_Angeles But you must not be following the NFL closely... The 49'ers are going to move to Santa Clara stadium http://www.mercurynews.com/southbayfootball/ci_21786096/nfl-picks-santa-clara-finalist-2017-super-bowl
All the big cities really should have a team. For LA to go so long without one seems like a missed investment to me.
