So.... We need a striker. Desperately.

    You have one pick

Which striker do YOU think we will buy?

I'm going for "we won't buy a striker"

We won’t get a striker and a fully fit Andy and a fit again Gayle will be just like new signings.

The only way we will get a striker is if we sell ASM and get one either as part of the deal or from the proceeds.

Going out on a limb here, but, I'm confident that we will sign a striker.
No idea who, from where, on loan or permanent, but someone, capable of hitting a barn door.

Gayle scores goals when provided with the chances. He’s like Andy Cole. He does take 50% of his chances.

No striker in any bang average premier league side is going to do it on their own. They need service.

If we buy one or two more creative players I think Gayle and joe will score 10 each next season.

Given that our centre backs contribute most of our goals, we are going to play with out a striker and just have a extra defender on the pitch, hope for corners and set pieces and take it from there.

Judging by Steve Bruce's latest comments we should forget about signing a striker.

Ideally I'd like a loan for young Brewster. I assume however we will be trying to put our faith in big Joe after shelling out so much. I'm not convinced but he certainly deserves a chance. He's had the settling year, so no excuses for the big fella now. He might surprise us.

In a dream world, the allegedly available Tammy Abraham would be an incredible signing.

Davie Selke might be a cheaper, foreign option.

I expect we'll stick with Joelinton.

He needs to play differently. I wouldn't call Kane, Jimenez or Ings "quick".

Whether he CAN play differently is another question - he seems a bit of a fanny. Probably looks great in training, goes missing when it matters.

Wilson or King from Bournemouth 10-15m would be great business

Jimenez, maybe. But even Chris Wood, Glenn Murray and Olivier Giroud reach double figures in the PL - or at least threaten.

I don't think Joe is slow, I think he's afraid.

Both Davie Selke and Tammy Abraham have been long on our radar. Whether either is realistic for us I'm not sure. You'd expect big Joe will be the first choice option of the club. They paid a bit for him. As I say I'm not at all convinced but I suppose you have to give him at least another season to show his worth.
