For me, there is quite a long list, so I will try to keep it pared down to my worst offenders. Bicycle Racing. With TalkShite providing us with a regular update on the Tour de France throughout each and every day, I am reminded how mind-numbingly dull and boring this sport is to watch or hear about. Darts and snooker. Sorry, but these are not sports, they are pastimes. Horse Racing. Take away the betting aspect, and all you're left with is a load of ponies charging about on a field. Golf. I love playing the game, but I'd rather pick the fleas off next door's cat than watch it. Motor Racing. Take away the technical intrigue, and you're left with a load of cars driving round and round a circuit for a couple of hours. Please, do not misunderstand me. I fully acknowledge that to be good at any of these sports the competitors have to be extremely talented, and I would want to take nothing away from the skill required to compete at their respective highest levels; all I'm saying is that I find watching these sports about as welcome as a jockey would find piles. Now, Women's Beach Volley-ball - that's a completely different matter...
"Just about everything at the moment. We keep losing, as we're crap at just about everything." I sense this summer is going to take some time to heal completely for you.
Only really detest Horse/Dog racing/show jumping/3 day eventing. The horse is the athlete here, not the shmuck on it's back. The racing (Dog/Horse) is fun for gambling, but not as a sport.
Edit. Forgot Rugby League - stop and start all the time. And anything American - Football (takes forever), Basketball (up/down ) and Baseball (cause I don't understand it)
Golf - Bores the hell out of me. Never played it properly though, only Top Golf in Chigwell. Cricket - Enjoyed playing it, not overly interested in watching, catch the occasional Ashes game and that's it. Darts - Love playing it after a few pints, though you won't catch me watching it. Snooker - Only played it once, never really interested, play Pool all the time, bit of a pub pool king actually
American sports, too many adverts and I don't have a clue what's going on. Winter Olympic sports too, they're all crap.
American football has no flow, its like watching a football match where all you're allowed to do is set pieces...
American sport - all of which seem incredibly technical, overelaborate, slow and tedious Gymnastics Show Jumping/Dressage All those minority sports like badminton, judo, curling, weighlifting etc they show at the Olympics because when you've no idea who the competitors are - and in some cases what they are trying to achieve - it has no appeal
Cycling - things like the Bore de France are the worst. Having said that, cycling events in a Velodrome (sprint stuff) are usually more exciting (mainly cos they're over quickly ) Marathon running - yawn That's probably it for me - I can watch most other sports just fine.
