Apparently LVG is currently considering which players to sell and which to retain?

Many players have been sold or are on their way out: Vidic, Rio, Evra, Giggs

If you were LVG, who are the players you think have no future at the club and should be got rid of?

Young, Anderson (had really high hopes for him), Valencia (not been the same since second injury), Fletcher (would be really sad to see him go, maybe a keeper as a combatitive mid when needed).

Wouldn't get rid of any unless we have a replacement coming in. Last thing we should is clear out the squad to wear ourselves thin. Obviously if a decent offer comes in we should sell some of the deadwood, but clearing out a squad that is starting to lack in depth wouldn't be a smart move.

I share Diego's choice. Anderson has perhaps been the biggest let down blows hot (well warm maybe) for one game, then is below par for the next 4. Don't approve of Young's diving routine, but maybe give Fletch a season more to see if he is finally over his illness, as a fully fit fletch would be fine. Shame about Valencia, but I feel he never got over that freak injury.
Cleverley is a 50 50 in my opinion. Needs to step up a gear, or be on his way

Now is the time Mano, young would be no loss, valencia is covered by Nani, Januzaj, Zaha?. We will hopefully get another couple of midfielders to cover Fletch (Anderson has been gone for a year). We finished 7th last season, we now have a manager who is noted for bringing youth talent through (something we have plenty of) so now is the time to make the changes.

Cleverley will be ok, he works best in a fast passing team. He is not brilliant technically, he will never make the Hollywood passes. What he does do is find space and make himself available all the time to recieve the ball and make a simple pass on to other players thus keeping the ball moving and creating space for the better/more dangerous players.

Hope your right Diego, I missed out Nani, who lacks consistency. When he was signed at the same time as CR7, Nani was supposed to have the most potential.

Still awaiting that revelation. Time for him to move on

  12. I can't say I'm surprised. Can, Lallana, Lambert and Markovic are quite tasty.

Well we should be getting rid of Young, Valencia, and Nani. Then for the wider attacking position we only have Januzaj and Zaha. Really not much depth there. For the midfield, we have Cleverly, Carrick, Anderson, Fellaini, Fletcher and Herrera. That's only real position we should be offloading from, but the only one I can see leaving is Anderson. Fellaini deserves another year, while Fletcher, Carrick, and Cleverly all work as squad embers to provide depth. Can't really see us offloading any of the attacking players as they look like they should play a part in the next year. We're extremely thin defensively as we only have 3 fullbacks and 3 center backs. Rafael's guaranteed to get hurt, with no real cover at right back. I just don't think gutting the squad is right move this season. I think LVG should spend actual time with the players at his disposal and see if he can make use out of the under performing players. An inform Nani would be just as effective signing as Di Maria IMO. At the end of next season LVG would be able to get a much better who belongs and who needs to be shown the door.

We also have no idea how LVG will set us up tactically at this point either, so it's a little hard to tell what kind players he wants/needs.

True. We should of course keep the players until we have replacements. But some how my feeling is that is not that difficult to find better replacements for many of them . Except for that small list mentioned by the very deluded ****ing RS fan at #2!

Who knows may be LVG could do a fergie and transform some of them into better players, if we play a different system? <ok>

Quite possible, Nani is an obvious choice for a player with a lot of talent who hasn't performed. Hell, LVG could even put Anderson in a more advanced role were he doesn't have to run like a box to box midfielder and he might actually do something useful that doesn't involve eating cake.

One other player who has been erratic and who I think (hope) might be transformed is Young. Even with SAF he has not developed to his potential. If LVG could instil some confidence in him (and Valencia) we may (!) yet be surprised.

Cleverly is still learning his game Red Hadron. Despite his inexperience, I have yet to see him slip and let in opposing player, or direct a header straight into the path of an opposing player to score. No names of course, would hate to cause further embarrassment
