3 League matches to go. Arsenal, Chelsea and Swansea. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to win all 3. However seeing that the title is secure and Chelsea's record Premier League-winning total of 95 points cannot be matched; would any of you like to see some senior players rested and a number of the young kids given a chance?

Erm, I think we'll also need to play West Brom on the 19th. Just cos we've won the title already, doesn't mean we can go on holiday early and miss the final day of the season! Tho' it would be quite funny our entire team ****ed off on holiday, just leaving Phelan behind to explain that we are forfeiting the last four games cos we're so good we don't need to play them <laugh>

We can still beat the points record if we win all four remaining games, but tbh I don't really care all that much about a meaningless record. I'd rather us try our Powell and Buttner, to see if they are ready to step up or if we need to buy more cover in CM and LB over the summer. Even if Powell's ready to step up we'll still need an extra CM, but if Powell shows enough then it will give us more options in the centre next year.

Also, I reckon it's worth giving Nani and Anderson a few games to try and put them in the shop window. Nani usually gives Arsenal nightmares, so a good performance from him in that match could add a few million to his price in the summer. Just as long as he doesn't play so well that SAF decides to give him another chance next season <yikes>

We should also try combinations of Smalling, Jones and Evans at CB, as the best partnership out of those three is likely to be our CB partnership in a couple of years.

Finally, can we recall Fabio from QPR and give him some games just to keep matth happy? ;)

Definitely Powell, maybe give Nani a few runs out too and possibly stick the likes of Januzaj, Vermijl and Lingard on the bench.

<laugh> Thanks Swarbs. Completely forgot about West Brom. Thank god there are no baggies fans on here. Powell good shout yes. I can understand your reasoning with Nani and Anderson but tbh they've had their chance to shine and impress possible suitors. Besides I'd be afraid to remind any buyers how unbelievably crap Anderson can be.

I think Arsenal will beat us. They've got alot to play for whereas we haven't.

However with SAFs history with Rafa I think Fergie will make sure we're up for the game against you <ok>

Powell, Buttner, Cleverly, Jones, Smalling and Evans to start the lot. And another one, Chicha, he deserves to play more, the player with the best goal to minute ratio has been ingnored in favour of Welbeck, who probably has the worst record in that regard. Send vanPersie and Giggsy on holiday, they've played more than they should. As for Nani, I've given up on him, he might do a bit of cameo against Arsenal and Anderson, I don't know, he's probably busy blinging and pimping it out. It's strange to see, Anderson and Ramires, they're so un-Brazillian.

Sounds good to me. I think I would happily give up any chance of a points record if it meant the "Champions of Europe" had to spend another season in the Europy <laugh>

I agree, I'd love to see more of Powell in midfield and Jones in central defense. Buttner to play two of the four games would be good to see too.

Initially I didn't want to see any of the players that we are likely to sell playing (Nani, Anderson etc.), but Swarbs' suggestion makes sense, a few extra million on their transfer fees wouldn't go amiss.

  11. You have four games to play (unless your not bothering with WBA) and are on 84pts, wouldn't that mean you can get to 96pts...

Edit: I really should start reading the responses before commenting <doh>

That only works if they play well, and with those two do you expect that?

    Nor do I.

Agree completely about the other three, although as Powell has barely been on the fringes of the first team I doubt he'll be thrown in.

This is the time for Jones though, last few games of this season at centre half then first choice from the start of next season.

Will also be a good opportunity to look at Butner and give Evra a well deserved rest, although he'll no doubt expect to play some part in the Swansea and Chelsea games.

I think Nani could have a good game if he knows he's in the shop window, he tends to have the odd good game when he feels like proving us all wrong when he's on a terrible run of form...

Anderson I have no hope for, for every good thing he does in a match he'll do three stupid things.

Can see Nani giving a decent account of himself against Swansea and Arsenal. Decent enough at least to tempt a club from Portugal or similar to offer £10m+ for him.

Anderson probably not, but heck he can hardly drive his value down at this point! And there's always a chance he'll produce one or two moments of reasonable skill that might persuade PSG, Liverpool or some other club with more money than sense to throw a few quid at him...

I've heard Fergie has placed Anderson on Gumtree, stating
    FREE to good home.
Will deliver anywhere at our cost.
    But 100% no refunds.

I heard that to take advantage of that offer you also need to agree to rehouse a stray Bebe.

That will probably put off most takers, tho' I'm sure Liverpool will be along with a £25 million bid for the pair as soon as we show them some good stats <ok>

Great if this is true looks a great talent, off the bench with 15 to go no pressure. Him and Lingard for me worth giving a go.
