Given that the standard of refereeing is as low as it's been in living memory this season it has got me considering which team has gotten the most fortuanate from the many refereeing mistakes. I will not give my own opinions as I will be no doubt attacked and accused of trying to score cheap points and on such a sensitive issue I cannot let this happen. I think it's fair to sy every team has had a few big decisions go against them unfairly but which team has been handed the most favours ?
I think it's a toss-up between Chavs, United, and 'Pool. United, for example, have been on the back-handed receipt of many "lucky" decisions against us, over the years. However, looking at this completely objectively, I've got to say that I think 'Pool have benefitted most from incompetent and/or biased refereeing decisions.
Well he was the best manager possibly ever and was replaced by David Moyes, so not really. As for bullying referees, I don't think United ever reached the depths of Chelsea in recent years.
Chelsea don't just bully refs ie all 9 outfield players surrounding the ref while the 10th feigns injury. They take it to a whole new level....false accusations of racism, death threats from the fans...!
I wasn't going to let you down! Chelsea have set the benchmark when it comes to finding innovative ways to try and ruin referees' careers when they've not got a decision they've demanded (although using racism as a weapon was unlikely to work for Chelsea of all clubs!).
Not when it's hugely in the interest of referees not to irk certain clubs. Big names will also get away with a lot more. Rooney trying to referee every game himself, Fabregas' tackle yesterday etc.
Where do you think Mourinho learned it all from? Ferguson set the benchmark for intimidating officials. Graham "How many yellows make a red?" Poll writes articles for the Fail and he admits to it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...s-against-Manchester-United-Old-Trafford.html Isn't it great that we're no longer cheating teams that go to Old Trafford! No, Graham. It ****ing isn't. You ****.
Poll is probably not someone to listen to regarding referees and bias. Kind of like asking Mark Clattenburg the same thing.
At Old Trafford? Not bloody often. I'm not sure what you want me to say. I've posted an article by a Premier League referee of some years saying that he was intimidated by Ferguson to show that it happened. Your argument against it seems to be that he's biased. Yeah, that's kinda the point...
