Have given up with the work, so now home alone sitting with a beer trying to decide a film to watch.

Got it down to Shutter Island or Taken, never seen both of them before, so any opinions lads? Is one of them insane/****? Don't want to waste 2 hours.

Cheers :)

Taken is quiet good IMO.. worth the watch I'll say. Haven't seen Shutter Island though.

Currently watching Taken on Channel 4 as we speak...

...Shutter Island is quality. I really like DeCaprio, don't think he's done a poor film (bar Titanic).

People told me Shutter Island was a massive head ****, but it truly isn't...It's not a simple boy meets girl storyline granted, but it's entertaining to watch and got some great acting.

Taken seems more about the action than suspense/drama...It's well made and Neeson is a ****in legend let's be honest.

My suggestion is; if you want action (Bourne-esque but not quite as slick) go for Taken, if you fancy something a bit more 3 dimensional go for Shutter Island!

Yeah recorded it so have just started watching it, like the actor so it's a good start :) Heard shutter Island is really good though, so gunna watch it after <ok>

I haven't seen Shutter Island, but Taken is a brilliant action film. Liam Neeson is class.

I won't give away too much of the story, but it's basically about a retired CIA agent that has to save his daughter.

Class film, probably one of my favourites since the Bourne series.

Yeah, she's just about to leave now, and I kinda gathered something would happen, and from the title 'Taken' I kinda guessed, quite excited then, I loved the bourne's

How man!! Taken is a class film, turn off your laptop and start appreciating Liam Nesson.... or so help me god.

EDIT: Guess what? My sister and her friends are watching Taken in the room next to me lol XD What a coincidence... or is it.

Are you and my sister... i'm going to ****in kill you son.

Saw Shutter Island on the friday.

Best thing is to watch both. Definately watch Shutter Island.

Pretty much what jesus is a geordie said.

Oh it's on Channel 4 +1, i might watch it, even though it's 30 mins in :)

Both good films!

Taken - very good action film and easy viewing. Neeson class as always. Would recommend this if you just want to relax and let the action flow over you.

Shutter Island - also very good but requires a bit more concentration to follow the plot. Best viewed when you're feeling in the mood to follow a film closely.

But reckon you can't go far wrong with either.
