Unless you've been living on the moon for the past few years you probably realise United could do with a midfielder or two. the question is who? Basically we need a ready made midfielder maestro who doesnt cost too much, want to big a wage, attract the attention of another team, have an agent who wants a payday, wants to move and can play in a two or three man midfield. Does such a player exist? Do we have a chance of signing them?
Paul Pogba, unpopular choice because the fact he left. My choice would be Michael Bradley. Think he'd be a great foil to Carrick. He's got a great engine, good passer of the ball, and excels going forward when he knows he's got defensive cover. He'll pitch in a couple goals as well. He can also play more of a holding or destroying role as well. He scored a few late goals to preserve Roma's winning streak this season. After coming back from I hurt in October he's found himself behind Strootman and Pjanic in the pecking order, and sometimes if forced to cover Maicon at RB. He's American so I am a bit biased.
I would test the Chelsea water with Mata. Never mind he's cup tied in Europe, we're not going to win it anyway. Also as Barkley and Wilshere are likely to be off limits Adam Lalana is worth a shout and I also assume we'll be back in for the bloke from Bilbao. That's just till summer.
Only deal would involve rooney coming the other way. I think he'll leave anyways, most probably to psg.
Well Rooney is going nowhere so if that's true it's no deal. Not sure it's true though so worth an enquiry.
Don't know if he is quite your level but Yohan Cabaye is angling for a move away from us again..... Swap for Kagawa??
He'd want out withing a year or 2. He'd suddenly be all 'Ive had a dream' or something. You have a thing for Bradley dont you
I dunno. Chelsea are stupid enough to not play him. Im sure they are stupid enough to sell him to United.
Don`t think it`s Chelsea as a whole, the last two managers seemed to recognise his worth, it`s just the idiot in charge now who can`t see what a difference he could make to the team.
That`s what happens when you sack someone then beg them to return, they get a certain amount of power. Bit sad really, a club with no one left to turn to who would want to go there and a manager with nowhere else to go, thrown together and now have to make the best of it.
Tbh I dont think hes interested at all this time round. Infact I would go as far to say he doesnt want to be there. Theres no 'spark' at Chelsea. Last time round the football was boring but Mourinho was a one man circus ( in a good way ) who made the whole thing great. Now its just utterly ****e football.
Us Americans are pro American. In normal circumstances I don't think he'd be much more than a squad player, but he's better than everyone one of our midfielders bar Carrick. There also seems to be a shortage of ready made midfielders, which really doesn't help. With Pogba, he left for more money and first team football. I think if we offer him more money than he's getting at Juventus and gay renter him first team football he'd be happy. There's a chance he'll either pull a Ronaldo and hold out for a move to Madrid or something, or he'll pull a Rooney and try and get more money. Honestly, if the investment pays off with a few years if success it will be worth it. Soon or later we're going to have to be prepared to replace Carrick as well. He's on the wrong side of 30, although with his style of play he'll probably play into his late 30's. We've needed to investment in the midfield for a couple of years, and every transfer window that goes by, the needed improvements in the midfield get more and more urgent.
