London clubs have always had a bit of glamour about them - even the Spanners. Sure, the last time the Spanners had any real glamour was back in the 60s, when the great Bobby More ruled the roost. But even they still hold more sex appeal than, say, Preston or Scunthorpe. If you are a young player, looking to swing yer bling to blind da ladies (innit!), there can be no better place for you than London. There's everything! The shopping, the theaters, the restaurants, Pearly Kings and Queens "Lamberth Walking" their way along golden-paved streets! It's blinding, I can tell yer, son! You Mancs and Mousers have often dreamed about "going to that there London!" so it's hardly surprising that the best players think along the same lines. But which club do you neutrals love the most? Is it West Ham, with their half-inched stadium? They've pulled off a stunt that your average scally Mousers can only dream about! No Fiat sound-system for them - they've gone and nicked an entire stadium worth ****ing £millions, son! And Karen Brady is bragging about it in the National media and treating us all like complete ****ers! You lot paid for it, too! Well, not Mousers, obviously - but the rest of you did. So, perhaps it's West Ham that you admire the most? Or what about Chelsea? They used to be referred to as the champagne club, on account of the fact that half the team was permanently pissed on the stuff, during the 70s and 80s. They were so glamourous, that when the Russian mafia came touting for business in the Prem, Chelsea was the second club that decided to take their wads of cash to (Spurs, their first choice, having told them to **** right off). They've certainly been the London team to beat, in recent seasons, playing scintilating park-the-bus football with a pantheon of expensively-acquired players, such as Torres and Schevchenko. Er.... Anyway, of late, they've been on a bit of a losing-streak, and they are currently fighting relegation, so it's probably best not to judge them on this season. If you love Russian spies and Smug managers obsessed with Arsenal, then Chelsea could be your choice. As for Crystal Palace, I confess that I don't really know much about them. However, my researches have permitted me to conclude that their stadium is not a palace, let alone a palace made of crystal, so I'm not really sure what happened there! Crystal Palace might appeal to those of you who like a bit of "London mystery," because no one really knows a **** about them! Arsenal... Now, there's a team! What can be said about Arsenal that Mourhino hasn't already taken the piss out of? They have the longest-serving manager, whom the Gooners have nick-named "Le Prof," due to his academic-like knowledge of the game. He's brilliant, for sure! He's won close to ****-all for a decade, yet he's managed to convince his board that he still knows what he's doing! If that doesn't deserve an award, I don't know what does! Plastics, looking to support a London side, will generally choose either Arsenal or Chelsea, which explains the palpable lack of atmosphere from the home support, at most of their home games. But don't let that put you off supporting either of these teams, especially Chelsea, who found an ingenious solution to the problem by piping sampled applause and cheering through the PA speakers. A plastic atmosphere for the mainly plastic support - magic! But gettiing back to Arsenal...they may not have won anything of any real note for the past decade, despite paying some of the biggest wages in World football, but you do, at the very least, get to see Arsenal in the CL every year. Admittedly, you don't get to see them in the CL for very long, as they inevitably get dumped out in humiliating fashion every year, but you cannot fault their consistency. Some say that they've been losing ground to their arch rivals (Spurs) over the last few seasons, but you shouldn't use that as an excuse not to consider Arsenal as your most loved London club, and indeed, many of us are completely undecided on the matter. So, is Le Prof's tippy-tappy-with-no-real-end-product style of football the thing for you? Finally, there's Spurs! So many of football's greats have graced this fabulous club - Blanchflower, McKay, Hoddle, Gazza, Waddle, Bale, the list is endless! Who wouldn't love to be a part of such a magical club? As soon as you cast your eyes over our emblem, which depicts a chicken sitting on a ball, you know you're looking, in wonder, at the stuff that dreams are made of! But it's not all about the glamour and sexy football with Spurs, there's also the mystique of our Chairman, financial whizz-kid, Daniel Levy. He's made a monkey out of many a club, over the years, but he always does it with a crafty twinkle in his eye! Love him or loathe him, you've got to admit that he has the x factor! Yes, he may look like the villian in a Bond movie, but that merely adds to his charm! And that's the watch-word with Spurs - charm. But don't let my bias sway you - make up your own minds. All I ask, lads, is that you refrain from wumming, as usual. Thanks.
don't you ever tire of being a WUM, because it is very tiresome for the rest of us. you missed off QPR, Charlton, and Leyton Orient.
You read through 400 words in order to reach the conclusion that you're tired of what I write! The teams that are mentioned in my (humorous - hint! hint!) post all have one thing in common, don't they - they're all Premier League clubs. That might well give you a clue as to why there is no mention of QPR, Charlton, or Orient.
I didn't read that long tirade... But out of the club's listed probably Arsenal. More out of respect than actually liking them. Two of Arsenals main rival teams United and Chelsea (in last decade or so) are also Liverpool's rivals. Enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that. Spurs may be doing well recently and for a few years we've been competing with them for positions instead of the big clubs but they're not rivals in the same way.
Arsenal haven't won anything of note in a decade ? When was the last time spurs won something worthwhile then ?

Needy weirdo. As far as I'm concerned, the only fans opinions that matter are those of our own. I couldn't give a **** what others think of us.
