Just checking on what Arsenal fans think on Manonnes future.... and was amazed to find out how many players they have out on loan at the moment.... 17! A full team! Most of them are young, hungry for success and look very good as well.... perhaps one or two of these next year would be great.... Armand Traore would be brilliant left back! Well I can dream. http://www.arsenal.com/news/reserve...d&utm_campaign=Feed: arsenal-news (News Feed)
From a Gooners point of view, it is good to see that the youth programme, and, the scouting network, is producing such a crop of young, good players, and, that we can loan them out to clubs, like Hull City, to gain experience, and assist in getting results for the club loaned out to.Also if not good enough, or, fit into the style that arsenal play, it generates a revenue for the club by selling them on to the loan club, if they want them.
Can't help but think Cardiff will miss him badly in the run in.For me he was their best player against us.I can't fathom out why they have taken Bywater on as well.I 've never rated him and thought their keeper( Heaton ?) also looked decent when they played at our gaff.Maybe he's injured. I reckon one team in the top six will have a severe wobble now it's the business end,I'm hoping it's TWS but at the end of the day I'm not too fussed as long as one team does bottle it.That combined with the hope we can capitalise. It's going to be interesting. UTT.
Even with Emirates goal-keeping problems, I, don't think he fits in with Arsene's plans. So I think (nay, hope!) that the Tigers will get the opportunity to buy him at the end of the season. (and, maybe Guzan as back up, too)
Mannone is Arsenal's fourth option in the pecking order after Fabiański, Szczęsny, Almunia. They also have Shea (loaned to Southampton) so I can't imagine Arsenal being very reluctant to selling him if the offers came in. I think the issue lies in competition from other clubs.
I'm pretty sure that Mannone will come to us if we put the right bid in. He loves the area and talks about how he like walking along the coast. We would be a good stepping stone for him to use to develop and progress as a keeper, especially as we have the likes of Joe Corrigan helping with the goalkeeper coaching.
mannone is one of those keepers that just inspires confidence, i feel as tho hes going to keep a clean sheet all the time....never had that with guzan personally, even when he did well, he always looked a bit clumsy to me... i was confident we would win yesterday for some reason, and i think a big part of that was mannones return..
I do rate Mannone and agree with you to a point DJ, however the decision during the Reading game at KC was poor. And I couldnt make yday but heard amongst the good saves his punching was a bit dodgy. I still think he is going to mature as a keeper and get more composed but isnt the finished article yet.
It would not surprise me if we were to find out, at the end of the season, that NP had got an agreement with Wenger to take Mannone onboard, signed and sealed already!
he does have the slightly annoying habit of punching everything, even the ones he should be catching..that some foreign keepers seem to have..
