I'm trying to decide which charity I want to make regular, monthly donations to.

I've got a choice of two on my shortlist - firstly £3 a month to save the snow leopard.

The other choice is £2 a month to save starving/sick children in Africa.

Do I get swayed by the pound less a month option of those poor little black kids?
Perhaps the sight of safely sponsored fluffy big cats will make me part with the £3 required?

I see these adverts whenever i'm watching tv and simply cannot resist the lure of making myself feel better by giving a drop of my 'wealth' to one of these very worth-while causes every month.

Your guidance/opinion/vitriol is all fully appreciated. <cheers>

Give your money to pay for a wealthy famous **** to go on TV so they can then try to make us all feel guilty for not giving enough<ok>

The snow leopards are close to extinction, there will always be starving black kids in Africa

That makes it a bit easier

I think Lenny Henry is the man for the job.

If he's holding out for too much money then Bob Geldof must be pretty available these days?

Surely if I was to join the other thousands of people giving "just" £2 a month to the African babies, the starving/sickness would stop? Wouldn't it?

I'm saying you should give to the snow leopards, they need it more than the kids

    I realise that.

I'm saying that there will not always be starving kids in Africa if everybody keeps giving their money, right?

Some **** like Lenny Henry flies out together with camera crew and all the trimmings to some ****ed up Arfican village where every **** is starving and disease ridden (mostly aids) and tells us 50p a week will provide clean drinking water. The expense of this trip could probably provide clean drinking water for the whole of Ethiopa.

By my reconing a tenner a week should pretty much secure a decent size city somewhere in Botswana<ok>

I think Peaches Geldof is the 'celebrity' we're looking for. <ok>

Get the new generation of pikey layabout to ask us for our money.

    Sponsor A Geordie

It costs us around £600 each year to care for one geordie. We have a number of Geordies that are available for sponsorship. To find out more, or to arrange a visit to choose a Geordie to sponsor, please contact us and we will do all we can to help.

    Why adopt a Geordie?

Adopting a Geordie is a lovely way to support the work of the Wye Eye Geordie Sanctuary which provides a safe place for abused and ill-treated Geordies and helps them to go on to live peaceful, happy and useful lives. It also supports our work in providing riding for the disabled children who love the Geordies and who get so much benefit from the activities we provide. It also gives you an extra incentive to come and visit as we will be pleased to meet you and introduce you to your Geordie.

A great many of our Geordie adoptions are given as gifts and it certainly makes an unusual present! We will happily make arrangements for you to adopt a Geordie on behalf of another person if you’d like to give this as a gift.

The cost of a Geordie adoption is £15 for the year. In return for this, you will receive a beautiful photograph of your Geordie and details about his or her life-story as well as an adoption certificate. We are hoping to introduce a newsletter later this year. There are also plenty of opportunities either to visit your Geordie here at the Sanctuary or when out-and-about in the local community at events or attending Newcastle games.

Can't you simply just take a football home in a huff or something?

It would seem to lend itself as some sort of closure for you - it has become clear that you're having problems moving on from your recent banning and your perception of the reasoning behind it.

    Good luck Ali.
