"We just lacked what I would call 'Leeds United players.' And it's difficult for them because I think a lot of the lads in the dressing room know next season they might not be here. They know there will be drastic changes and you can see why." "You've got to enjoy playing at Elland Road with the fans here and at the moment we just aren't good enough." "..but we haven't got quite enough at the minute. The season can't end soon enough. We've got four games to go and we've just got to grin and bear it." "You look around the stadium, even with nobody in" "You've got to start at the back, you've got to have a strong defence and a strong midfield. It's difficult for me, but I have to grin and bear it." "It's like I said to Nigel Clough 'enjoy today because you'll never see another Leeds United team or Neil Warnock team like this.'' "The boss has threatened an overhaul of his playing squad" "I'd like to sign him on May 1 if I'm honest. It can't come quick enough." "If we can tie that up it will be as good start. We need a number of players. I think the fans will see that. There's quite drastic action needed over the coming months." Neil. The fans have been saying this all season. Some even said it last season aswell. And now we have a Supporters Trust who represent our views, they have said it aswell. But they've been banned form adding numbers to the empty stadium. My question to you, Neil, is: Dio you, or do you not, acknowledge that - having watched that dross all season and having paid through the nose for it - the fans have the right to voice their anger and ire at the club and its strategy of refusing to purchase and keep hold of the players who can do the job? My second question is: Have you taken Shaun Harvey out yet?
I believe he has said that, maybe not quite as plainly as you have "We need a number of players. I think the fans will see that."
