Which 2 strikers would you keep?

Out of our four main strikers - Shola, Best, Lover and Ranger, which two would you keep and why?

The main reason i'm asking this is because we're looking to bring in perhaps one or two more quality strikers now. We have more than enough quality in midfield to support them. Our performance against Blackburn, even though we didn't score, was, in my opinion, Europa league team qaulity, but we just couldn't finish. Coloccini came so close again.

I would definetely keep Ranger. He has so much potential and could be a big part of our future. Then i'd have to say Best. He's shown much more determination and a much better work rate that Shola, and has come close to scoring in alot of his games. We should keep playing him. He's very composed infront of goal. Plus he's younger than Shola.

Who would you keep?

p.s. I'm not implying we should actually get rid of two, although we will most likely do so if we bring in more quality. I'm just saying if we had to keep two, which two?

 

Shola and Lovenkrands, on the grounds that Ranger goes out on loan, if not probably Shola and Ranger, as Ranger has age on his side. though I personally think Lovenkrands will be sold probably to Rangers in the summer.

 

Tough one really ! Since JUDAS got injured and sold we have begun to rely on Shola. But he is getting on a bit now and Best is younger. I'd definitely keep Ranger as he looks like a hot prospect, would love to see him grab a goal tonight as that could get him firing more in. So saying that i would agree with you, keep Best and Ranger, let Lover and Shola go.

 

Shola and Best for me.. Lovenkrands doesn't seem to offer much anymore.. Ranger would want to start finishing the chances he gets...

Shola has to go - if someone came in and offered 5m I would bite their hands off (2m actually - I would still bite their hands off) - Best still needs a good run as does Ranger. Lovenkrands still has got something to offer, and has a good work rate but it's time to let the youngsters come through!

Haha, I'd accept £950 and a bag of footballs - am sure a Sheffield club bought a Chesterfield player for this princely sum and its what I would expect for Shola

 

I would have to say keep Best and Ranger, both have potential to be good premier league strikers. Best will always give you the effort and Ranger has a good turn of pace and good hold up play. Lovenkrands doesnt seem to offer anything at all anymore and I think Shola has past his peak.

 

I have to say Lover seems to have served his purpose for us and we should be replacing him in the summer.

The jury's still out on Best imo. He has til the end of the season to prove himself or we should be replacing him too.

Shola should have a job for life at NUFC. Seriously! low wages, commitment and experience mean he'll always be a sensible backup option.

Ranger has to stay, still very young and, while lacking the finishing touch, is the very definition of raw talent. He can work on his touch but strength, pace and size can't be trained, you either have it or you don't.
