Just interested in getting the views of United fans as it appears Ronaldo wants to leave Madrid.. Where do you think he will end up or will he stay at Madrid? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11835/8047996/Ronaldo-reports-dog-Real
This is interesting but he won't come back to England as we wont be willing to pay his wages and the transfer price would be huge. The only clubs that could afford him in this country would be Chelsea and Man City but doubt he would be stupid enough to tarnish his legacy at United. Also with FFP rules being enforced pretty soon, i doubt the likes of City and Chelsea would want to buy him. If he does leave then i reckon he will go to PSG who could afford him with their new rich owners.
Doubt he'll leave. With three years left on his contract Madrid hold all the cards, and I doubt they'll be as willing to listen to what he wants as Utd were. Earliest I could see him leaving would be summer 2014, by which time FFP will have started and the financial playing field could be very different to what it is now. He'll also be 29, so moving out of big money territory. So he could end up pretty much anywhere with the profits to pay his wages by then.
If Ronaldo came back to England then I think it would be to City as they are the only ones who could affording ( depending on the FFP rules ). I'd love to see him back at United but it will probably never happen.
Eeeee. If Ronaldo leaves Madrid hes coming to United but only if Fergie is still here. Otherwise hes finishing his career in Madrid until hes too old to count and goes to the **** leagues ( MLS, Russia etc ) He would NEVER go City or Chelsea or any domestic rival of United, the guy loves us and probably does so more than Madrid. Should read some of the stuff hes said over the years. Happiest playing for Manchester United Fergie was like a father Theres only one club in manchester for me I have already played for the biggest club in england loads more* *not exact quotes but near enough what hes said. He also speaks with Fergie all the time. If he ever leaves madrid its to come home
Possibly. But only if Ronaldo's problem at Real doesn't involve JM. Would also need Ronaldo to force the move with just a year or so on his contract else the fee would probably be stupid. That said, Real are well known for letting players go for less than they're worth (Sneijder, VDV etc) so it's not impossible. He'd have to take a wage cut, but then he'd have to take a wage cut to go anywhere. Even City wouldn't pay him the £400,000 a week needed to match his net Real salary in the UK.
Not quite true on the wages. We could pay him Rooneys wages ( not in place of Wayne but equal too ) and then his image rights contracts would add another 5-10million on meaning unless hes got a £100k a week coke habit hes wouldnt really notice it. Anyway........... do you think hes upset because now hes set for a new contract, the tax rate in spain is very high now so unles madrid pay him half a million a week hes going to have a pay decrease anyway.
Read somewhere that it's the anniversary of his fathers death, may have something to do with him being "sad." The Ronaldo transfer would pay for itself IMO, much like it did when he went to Madrid. There will be an unbelievably high amount of jersey sales and other advertising things involving Ronaldo. Not to mention how good our team would be! RVP Kagawa Rooney Ronaldo Anyways I think when his contract is up he'll come play in the MLS, when he was on Madrids U.S.A. Tour he told a reporter that he would like to play in the MLS at some point in his career. I think Beckham's and Ronaldo's contracts might be up around the same time. I'd be quite content with Ronaldo in a Galaxy shirt.
http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=266217&start=90 they think they got him? Ronnie is always a ledge at OT. Does he want to tarnish that and go for the cash at City/ Can't see it myself.Think if he was to come back to England it would be to us.
Don't be a ****. The world knows Real is and always has been his club. No wonder people laugh at you with stupid ****ing comments like that.
this is what apparently real madrid fc president said. Not sure if this quote is true or false though. Florentino Pérez: "I talked to Cristiano Ronaldo and he didnt say he wanted to leave Real [Madrid] but he wants to end his career in Manchester United i think some people saying that Ronaldo will go to city if he leaves Madrid is rubbish. Ronaldo loves united, he takes Sir Alex has his second father and he knows United fans still loves him and he's still in united hearts and im sure he wouldn't like to destroy that. For me there's no way he's going to ever play in a city shirt. what i think is he will stay at Real Madrid, what ever problem it is, im sure they'll sort it out soon but i always have that believe that in the future Ronaldo will come back to united. He did say few times that he still misses us, he still is in contact with Sir Alex and he feels like he left a big family there, he still talks to some of the players and he even said maybe in the future he could return. Ronaldo won't play for city, his heart is Man Utd, Viva ronaldo!
In fairness he does guarantee AT LEAST a goal a game these days. But that is insane money. He doesn't need it!
His ego has far outgrown Fergie's control, he aint coming back to United, especially after seeing them in Europe last season. He ain't leaving Madrid, they've got to grips with Barca and Messi is the only comparable player to him so there's that too, that rivalry he just wont get in another league. Then he'll go to the US
With all due respect to Ronaldo, his fathers death has nothing to do with Madrid and they were right to turn down his request.
If ronaldo leaves he will go to whoever pays him the most money. Forget loyalty to a club he has left
It's all a lot of speculation at this stage, but it does show what a great job SAF did keeping Ronaldo's ego in check at Utd, despite him actually being the best player in the world back then. That said, I've always thought Mourinho can be a bit dangerous for his players' egos - they actually start believing they are as good or important as he says they are, which can only make it harder to control them. Probably why every club Mourinho's managed has slumped after he left - no one else can handle the egos he inflates!
