I am old enough to remember the disastrous experiment of playing Allan Simonsen in a team of club pro's who hadn't a clue what he was up to. So do we have any players who would be good enough to play alongside The Master? Which of our team have the best football brains? Ignoring the back 4 I'd say JJ, Stephens, BWP and Kermit are the obvious 4. I'd take Pritchard as the 5th because I like his style, so I'd play: Pritchard in front of the back 4; JJ LM; Stephens RM; Messi just behind the front two! Should see us over the line!

I feel he's not good enough for us at this current moment in time. He needs to go away and prove himself worthy of overhauling greats like BWP and Stephens. I mean its not like he's gonna score 50 goals in a season is it <whistle>

On the bench for me. The name will attract loads of club interest, but at our level just because he's great elsewhere doesn't mean he will be great at the lower leagues. It's psychology too, rivals will want to either hack him down or put extra effort in to outclassing him. And he will rock up thinking "this is easy"!

Wouldn't sign him, simple. We don't need another striker- Haynes is back in a few weeks and we have Clarke and Hayes on loan.

Another striker and we'll be going back to the Pardew days.
