I say it on most relegation themed threads, but i expect, in typical Southampton fashion, that we will be playing for our place in the premier league on the last day. And our record of winning on the last day is actually very good, so ill say 17th.
I feel we have to improve our GD (will happen naturally if we keep winning) because our past experience is that it can keep you up and move you a few places higher. Our GD was always good in the PL and in the last couple of years...unusual for us to have let in so many goals. That Arsenal game has a lot to answer for.
My head says 19th. Got a feeling that in the last three seasons we'll have come 2nd from top in L1, 2nd from top in The Championship and 2nd from bottom in the PL. But of course we're going to stay up...
I think we're set up for some good form before the new year, and a decent if unspectacular second half of the season, probably with another poor run near the end. Reading, QPR and Villa to go down, us 17th.

I don't why this question keeps getting asked. I said mid-table at the start of the season. I see no reason to change, as yet. BTW, hopefully the poll categories were a pathetic and cheap attempt at humour.
