In order to fail top 4 we have to lose half of our remaining games and see Everton win all of theirs. So let's enjoy where we are and hope to see us maintain pressure on the title.
I think there is a case for thinking that arsenal could be caught by Everton still, if Everton give their all it just might happen. I wish them the best in that effort, just as seeing the arrogant one trashed on the day of his 1000th game was great. Everton in 4th would be even better
If Everton beat Arsenal and win they game in hand, the point difference would be like 5 points i think
Like someone mentioned on the Arsenal board, If Arsenal lose to City next week and Everton win their game in hand they could go above Arenal when they play each other the following week. They are 8 behind with a game in hand so not totally out of it.
If we beat Sunderland on Wednesday we go within 1 point of the chavs. If we beat the chavs and city then I'll truly start to believe.
If we win all our remaining games, only Man City can beat us. We need someone to do us a favour. However, I don't see us winning all remaining eight games, especially as that would mean a sixteen game winning streak in the league which I suspect would be a new record. So, we need Chelsea and Man City to slip up a couple of times each.
We don't want to be thinking that, well the players anyhoo, one game at a time, Sunderland up next. We have to defend better, we can't keep hope to be scoring 4 or more to stay in the race, one game at a time and sort out that ****ing defence.
Shame that Chelsea have the easiest fixture list I've ever seen aside from us. This colour-coded table tells the story, ridiculously lucky to have such an easy end to the season. http://fantasyfootballfirst.co.uk/team-performance/game-difficulty-checker-2/
Chelsea have a banana skin in there... Who would have thought the villa result was possible, so I am easy.... We beat Sunderland then it's spurs who I think will need a beating to assure cl
Why does that matter though? Just because no one else has managed a 16win streak doesn't mean we're incapable of it. Besides, you don't look at what's gone previous, you look ahead - that means we need to go on an eight game streak from now til the end of the season. The next game is mutually exclusive from the previous. It's just another game to go out and win.
So us at Anfield is only a "medium hard" game for Chelsea, but it's a "hard" game for us? Go figure...
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I didn't say we wouldn't do it I used it as a reason we are unlikely to win all the remaining games. That, IMO, is a legitimate claim. You say we need to look ahead at getting a eight game streak, I disagree. I say we should look ahead to the Sunderland game and aim for three points. When the final whistle is blown on that one, we focus on Spurs #onegameatatime
