If you park in the Lowery Centre, it's free parking when you spend over £5 and you can do that at Lime Bar or Pizza Express etc, then just walk across the dock to Old Trafford.
Is it easy to get out after? I will be there quite early before so could stop for a few drinks but need to get back quite quickly after the game.
With 76,000 other people joining you, I'm afraid you wont be going anywhere very quickly afterwards, even if you aren't with the City fans!
As Strov says, it's busy everywhere after the game, but I don't remember it being too bad last season.
Yeah, sure is. Loads of good bars up there in the northern quarter, which is good if you go by train. Nowhere near the ground though, although you could walk to a tram.
To be fair last year it wasn't to bad but i missed a friends wedding due to Burnley away not sure i can miss the same friends birthday night out for United away!
Depends what you like. Castlefield is not too far away from Old Trafford if you want bars looking over the canal, (that's where Barca is btw - or at least used to be a few years ago). Deansgate Locks/Arches I've always found ****e. However, nearby is the Briton's Protection which is a great real ale pub - the best one I know in that general area. Printworks=**** but the Northern Quarter does have some decent pubs. It'll be mental getting away regardless - Chester Road/A56 is impassible normally after a match. Weirdly though this is now my easiest and cheapest fixture of the season - might even be quickest to walk home.
Sure is. If I'm in Town I go to the Moon Under The Water down Deansgate or the Waldorf on Gore Street near Piccadilly.
