He was solid for the Toon. He had his shocking games at times, but 85-90% of the time he was immense. Solid on the left side, linked up really well with Colo and Jonas. He was also great in attacks for us.

What happened to him? What's the story?

He started off well, then his form dropped with a lack of competition and recently he's been injured.

His poor form coincided with a niggling knee injury, I'm sure he'll be back to his usual form soon. His main problem is now removing Johnson from his position.

He started excellent for us then tailed off really badly at the end of last season.

This season he hasn't picked and is being made to work for his place.

Lets see what he can do.

  5. Enrique suits the passing style that Rodgers wants to see. Jose rarely plays it long instead opting to try and play his way out of trouble. He is superb on the ball in both possession and passing, he is a good outlet on the LW too but he can't cross or shoot for ****.

Thought he did well when he came on against Reading. Played a more advanced role and set up Suarez at least twice.

I dunno if he tailed off so much as fell off a cliff, much like the entire team halfway through last season. A little mystifying but he was suddenly all little girl with three left feet giving it away like a Poundstretcher going out of business sale.
