I mean for god sake, he has been by far our best player pre season, is better than mereiles, especially a half fit mereiles. It really annoys me that were probably going to sell one of our best players who is clearly better than poulsen Lucas henderson mereiles etc. Not happy with kennys team today.

If Aqua want's out then there is not a lot we can do. It's a shame but it looks like he'll be off.

This is the type of game I wanted Aqua in. Instead of always heaving it into the box, he can make magic happen around the box and can really spot a pass and help break down Sunderland. Unfortunately his agent wants that extra hundreds of thousands and has probably got him a move to Milan. Shame, I really want him to stay.

It's amazing how good somebody plays when they're "in the shop window" as it were. If he isn't picked, it's for a reason; i.e. Kenny is in charge, so accept his selection without question.

Yes deffinately why should the suppoters who are the ones who let the club acctually live by going to matches aswell as watching the matches have any opinion. no dont question anything just accept as fact that your manager is always always going to be right.

    you sir are a fool

kenny picked the wrong side today. I've just heared about Aurelio but we were left with few real midfield options in the 2nd half. I think that the 2 nd half and the way that Sunderland chose to play it would have been food and drink to Aqua this afternoon.

Having said that perhaps Kenny wants him fresh for the Arsenal game?

But it's Unbiased Opinion and he, in any of his personnas, is really not aware enough of himself to understand the concept of manners.

It's a shame Aquilani wasn't involved today... I felt he could have made a difference today.

Like Dave has already said, maybe he's being saved for the Arsenal game.

I would've liked to have seen him but until that window closes I doubt we'll see him risked.

I reckon he'll excel in the Arsenal game. Arsenal are an elegant passing team and won't rough you up. They are a posession side. The way to combat that is energy and better passing and possesion and slowing the tempo.
I've a feeling Kenny will go 4-3-3 in the Arsenal game with Suarez and Downing flanking Carroll with Adam,Lucas and Aquilani in the centre. Aquilani however more advanced.

I'm not surprised Aqua didn't start, I thought Spearing would start though. He copes with the physical stuff a bit better and played great against Sunderland last season.

I wasn't surprised he didn't start, I was however shocked that he wasn't on the bench!! He's got to be more of a match changer than Ngog!! Even if we were 'keeping him fresh for arsenal' that's a week away!! It must mean he's still for sale if any bids come in...

I hate to question KK, who clearly knows far more than I do about all things football, but I feel we have the players in our squad to have won today... But I guess it's a season and not a single match, so maybe he has a cunning plan!!

Maybe something going on in the background, i.e, on his way out? For all we know he may be in italy finishing a move... if not though a bit strange when mereiles is not fully fit on taking up a place on the bench.

Surely if he was staying he would of been on the bench. He is fit so the only plausible reason he was not on the bench is because he is off.

I think we should stop dwelling on what ifs and look forward to the Arsenal game. I didn't agree with the team selection, I wanted to see Aquilani and dont think Henderson should have started over Kuyt and Meireles, but its happened now and at least it was a point still. We are in the top 4 ;)
