Where is the talent in Liverpool?

I must confess, I don't watch many Liverpool games, or football games in general. Probably about 10 football games each season.

Liverpool lost a lot of good players in the last few years, but obivously the side still remains strong with guys like Gerrard at the team.

I don't recognise most of the Liverpool team, but the fact that Liverpool are doing so well under Daglish proves that talent does exist there. Lucas used to be rubbish but I hear he's decent now. Same with the greek defender.

What I want to know is, who are the talented players in your team?
Can somebody please explain this to me?
